Mike Yurich Favorite for Texas OC

what's the story on herman? What he did at houston was incredible, what's going on with texas?
Their Defense is always trash & he's stuck with Sam Ehlinger for too long.

He's got a roster full of 4-star QB's he just hasn't given any of their young guys a chance to play.

He's 46-19 as a HC so it's not like he's terrible, he just hasn't won the Big XII yet.

But even after going 7-5 this season he has them with a top 10 class, had the #3 ranked class last year for the 2019 & was 3rd in the 2018 class as well.

He's an Ace recruiter just hasn't put it all together on the field consistently.

I was looking at the schedule and it was quite the schedule this year.

LSU might be the best team in the nation, OU stayed being one of the best, baylor turned out to be very very good.. hm it's tough sometimes

Enos hasn't been fired yet and IF they fire him, I doubt they go the expensive route. If anything, it'll be likely what LSU did with Brady/Ensminger
Herman just pulled a Coker and fired his coordinators to save his own job going into his 4th year. Manny just finished his first year and isn't under the same kind of heat. Completely different situations.
Both things you've said couldn't be further from reality.

#1 UM can spend whatever it wants. Blake isn't going to handcuff Manny over money on staff.

#2 Manny is under extreme heat. If he doesn't win next season he's gone. He won't get the chance to hire another staff. He has this offseason to make moves if he wants to do it.

He’ll leave the next staff with talent at least.

Manny is getting 4 years.

I’m not saying he deserves it. But it’s the UM way.

After next year he’ll probably get rid of Enos. (Whether voluntarily or forced to do so by the AD.) Then he’ll get 2 years with a new OC. And probably flop with him and get fired.

Thats the problem.....is Penos have a contract for next year? If he doesnt quit wasting time and money. Guy is running a 1990s offense with probably the worst OL in Miami history. Also not much talent on the outside to throw to and the QB room is a **** show.

How do we know Manny is under extreme heat?

Texas is going to be the type of team that goes from this 7-5 **** to out of nowhere going 10-2 / 11-1 and on the comeup winning a NY6 bowl game.

Wouldn't shock me if its next year. Herman is a good coach, but Texas was legitimately in dire straits after the end of the Mack Brown Era and after Charlie Strong. They were dilapidated. We were in a similar position and hired Al Golden. They hired Tom Herman. While Texas isnt much better yet, theyve stacked chips in recruiting, changed the culture a bit, got rid of a lot of **** players and look like they are on the comeup, to me. Miami failed to recruit, change the culture, get rid of **** player and as a result, two head coaches later and we're losing to Duke and FIU still.

Low maintenance grinder. He's the type of QB you ride with while you're trying to turn things around. You never have to worry about him doing dumb **** or dividing a lockerroom and he's not terrible either...just limited.

What we would give for a low maintenance grinder right now at QB.
