I was anti Butch. This has nothing to do with Butch. It has to do with repeating the same mistakes over and over and over and over.

Kids will always leave this area until we win. Those kids don't care about Rumph, they care about the money and promises other schools made to them. That's how this works. You either have a great program, or you pay kids.

Since Miami is not in a position to pay kids, we aren't landing them until we show it on the field. Thus, hiring Mike Rumph in hopes of getting kids to sign is the same old dumb, out of touch move that Randy and Golden would do.

What am I missing here my man? College, Pro DB and actual HS championship experience makes one a risk as a DB coach? WTF are you talking about? You been evaluating and hiring DB coaches for 15 years like CMR? Did Manny feel he's a risk at the all too important position in his defense? Auburn and Clemson hired white guys out of HS to OC without near the experience. Oh! Now I understand why you consider Rumph a risk? No other reason I can find why you see him as "far to great a risk".

If we hire a proven DB coach to complement him AND we're finally able to start landing premier talent from American Heritage, then the Rumph hire could end up paying off. But a Rumph/Hartley combination coaching the DBs would be far too great a risk for such an important position group in Diaz' defense.

Assuming it's too late for the 2016 recruits from that school since Rumph's being hired less than a month before NSD, we'll need to land several of the following in future classes for this to make sense: Tedarrell Slaton, Tyson Campbell, Patrick Surtain Jr., Kyshaun Bryan, Marco Wilson.

he is gonna coach corners. he played corner in nfl. there is no doubt he can teach them what they need to k now. press , zone, technique work all that he knows.

i don't see why people get a hard on for former players who have worked hard at coaching at hs or college level getting a position coach job. michigan hired rashan gary's hc in hs and no one here *****es about that.
