Mike Rumph....

Dungey was 13-41 137 yards 0 tds 4 ints. Remember this was one of the top passing offenses in the country and they had 2 of the best receivers in the country....
Malek Young, Trajan bandy, Michael Jackson and jhavontae dean were all shutting sh*t down....

Salute to coach Man...

I don't get why he doesn't get more props here, it's like people look to hate on him. He's arguably did the most with the least out of all the coaches. Searles in a close second

I remember people on her like old crusty *** Franchise did not want to give him credit for Colbert because Colbert was "big, fast and athletic". 1. There are hundreds of players that are fast and athletic that can't play and 2. what is he suppose to do recruit DBs from the local YMCA?

Once he gets a plethora of speedy DB's we'll see even better performances from his unit. If he closes with Campbell the recruiting doubts will cease.

He's had to do more with less because his recruiting abilities have been dog**** up till this point. Let's see if he closes this recruiting season.

Mike Rumph is a really good coach, he’s turned a 3 star CB from Bama into a stud, Nuff said

Calm down with the "stud" talk. He has played above average to this point. One of the INTs was throw right to him

I've criticized Rumph for his clear recruiting weaknesses. But at one point, Jackson was a potential attrition candidate by many on this board. Now he's a clear bonafide starter. Yes, he had one pick that was thrown at him, but his second one where he had the receiver covered in a blanket practically was a thing of beauty.

He's a fantastic coach. The only reason he's been criticized here is his (thus far) lackluster recruiting. It (again thus far) appears he's not much of a salesman. However if we can keep the '18 DBs we have committed and add Campbell, all will be happy.

Constant pressure from the DL today certainly helped the secondary out. Without the unaccounted for man in Dungey, they basically shut down their running game for the most part as well.

Syracuse had over 270 yards rushing. It seemed like it was mostly Dungey because he ran a lot when flushed out of the pocket (20 att for 100 yards), but Strickland had even more (14 att for 104 yard) at 7.5 ypc. And this is to a primarily passing team. Diaz can't be too pleased with that.

The real story defensive is keeping them to only 130 yards passing. The turnover would have been also if we capitalized. We only got a touch down, a field goal, and gave one back on the same day giving them a new set of downs.

With them having 93 plays and only 399 yards is a pretty impressive stat

Rumph sucks as a recruiter.
Jackson was only an attrition candidate by idiots on the board. He has been in the rotation since hes gotten here and played alot on specials from day 1. Michael Jackson never was considered a bum by normal posters or folks with knowledge of the gaME.
Rumph has been solid coaching up corners...and he is about to have a hunge influx of talent at that spot coming in..so his trajectory should be moving up.

130 yards passing is even more impressive. Most games this year, Ishmael and Phillips had over 100 yards ea. themselves.

M Jackson was a class filling Golden special, he's become the ringleader of the turnover chain. The DB's look much improved from the Paul Williams days so credit to both Rumph and Banda

I don’t think he should be considered a golden special considering he also had offers from clemson and lsu coming out of highschool too
