Mike Rumph era is over!

I am not saying it wasn't justified but until whoever loaded the entire defense on one side before the snap and NC ran to the other side is outta here this will seem like a scapegoat deal.

We need a DC who believes an offense getting two yards is too much. Anything less than the #1 defense in college football is unacceptable. That should be our goal...Not keeping the receivers in front of us and praying for a 3rd and goal stop.
ROFL, I said this last year and I'll repeat it now, if coach diaz gets rid of the only True Cane coach on staff, the only one on staff besides Ishmael(who is the closet going back 16years) he won't be to far behind himself.

If coach diaz is that asanine to think the way to save his boy blake baker is by bringing in another db coach, he got Life all phucked up. The 1st 2 coaches on defense that need to go before coach rumph is baker and whoever is coaching linebackers. Coach diaz couldn't recruit worth **** as the linebackers coach, now he thinks he's going to hire guys around his inept d-co and that is going to fix the problem, lol, okay.

And I'm glad coach banda took that d-co job before coach diaz tried some sneaky ****.

Give me T-Rob yesterday!!! Hire Partridge as DL coach, move Patke to ST only, and use the surplus coaching spot to hire a big time LB coach.
No credible DB coach is coming (or CB recruits for that matter) if the defensive strategy is just use the CBs to tackle.

You don’t see me crying bout no coach fool. You see me laughing at you dumb ***** for letting Diaz constantly mind fûck you. Fired rumph because he knew y’all wanted that and now everybody happy and it takes heat off keeping baker
Or maybe he saw what everyone with a brain could see: Rumph couldnt recruit an escort to a high roller after party...and let him go. But “manny reads the boards and that’s why he fired Rumph “ makes more sense 😂

Pretty sure CBS are taught to tackle in every scheme
Notice the word just.

It's been discussed on this site repeatedly that in Manny's scheme for CBs, tackling is primary over coverage skills. Coverage skills are secondary. And you wonder why recruits with elite coverage skills don't want to come here and be made into a laughing stock.

Diaz is on social media and you know the coaches see and hear what people be saying. So why can’t he see baker is áss since he seeing so clearly?

I'm sure neither one of us have the desire to search for the post so we can agree to disagree lol. I dont deny that there is some sort tension between the two, but I find it hard press to believe a guy stayed on for 5 years if another coach was sabotaging him the whole time. I find it even harder to believe that another coach would essentially sabotage the team when it is their livelihood. Banda had his misses, but he hit too. Rumph can not and could not recruit period. We as a fanbase deserve better and that isn't just Rumph.
A lot of the issue is lost by the way you're framing it. It's not some black/white dynamic where there was 5 years of intentional 'sabotage'. This can also just be how workplace politics go. Banda is Manny's guy, bartender by background, inspirational story but unusual path, follows Manny here. Rumph is Richt's guy, local guy, Cane, NFL first round pick. They're coaching DBs together. Manny may well deserve a lot of the blame for the issue because as a manager he's supposed to see it, nip it in the bud, definitely don't throw gas on the flames. Not hard at all to see a version of the past that led to sniping and then Richt quits, Manny can't fire Rumph for political reasons, Banda ups the politics. I can't say what happened but the truth is usually somewhere between the two sides.

they're here blaming Banda who actually got a DC job elsewhere. all you need to know. Banda actually got a promotion meanwhile rumph is apparently fighting people bc he cant recruit. reminds me of the story that a coach pulled a gun on a player
