Mike Lynch for OC

Their whole offensive philosophy is predicated on running as many plays as possible, even if it means not giving their defense a chance to recover. It's great if you can consistently pick up first downs and put together long scoring drives but if you go three and out, or even 6 and out, you're sending a tired defense back out on the field. I get the philosophy and it works good for teams who feel they can't match up on defense (UCF hasn't lost in two years using this philosophy) but at it's core the whole scheme is designed to get into shootouts.
Dude if we are ponying up some money for a hc I’m not settling for a gimmick offense/philosophy ... all I remember hearing last year when we play them was if they hit “x” amount of plays they win and they seemed to bank on it, well they went over that number and we won. Another example would be have you ever seen a triple option team be an upper echelon in cfb ? After richt we can’t settle with coach who has a gimmick philosophy

I have yet to see a team be a constant contender like the Alabama’s, Clemson’s rely on gimmick styles and sustain. Only team Ive see closest to that was Oregon under chip kelly, but we all know how that ended up. We also don’t need a mike leach or a lane kiffin. I think we just have to bide our time for the next Tom Herman, someone whose young, energetic, comfortable with south Florida environment, a great recruiter and fundamentally sound on all 3 sides of the ball.

Telling you guys right now pump the gas on Dino Babers because Miami was never built on gimmick philosophy’s
