Could it get any worse? Is there a level below "irrelevant?" I don't think Leach could do much worse than Rick, but at least it would be a **** of a lot of fun to watch.

I know it will neva happen but what if he told Lane he will be HC in waiting come be the OC right now to work him in with recruiting and Miami culture but it's really to see if he's ready to be a power 5 coach again in a couple of years. Rick will have the offense to go with the defense and turn this thing completely around to ride off in da sunset. Who knows how long Diaz has left. 😁 I like, spoken like a true Cane fan🙌🏾📙_📗!!!
 
Leach is the weirdest and whitest dude ever, the S. Florida kids would probably hate him.
 
Richt needs to hire David Yost as OC and that allows UM to have a Mike Leach Disciple.

UM couldn't even come up with a measly $1M out of their own coffers to finish off the IPF, or chump change to renovate the basketball offices. What makes anyone think they would want to pay off Richt and then spend big for a new staff? Not happening. CMR is coaching here as long as he wants.
 
I can't stand Mike Leach as a coach....funny interview though. He may score points and win some games at Wazzu, but the guy comes across as someone who would be a terrible leader of a program. The defense would be awful bc he couldn't care less about it. The run game would be non-existent. I don't see how he would be a fit here in any way.
 
We aren’t changing coaches but if we were (because we only have hope at this point).

Leach would be an absolute no, might have success 1 year but not a long term answer.

I would say, at least of realistic choices, that Cristobal would prob be the #1 choice. I think he learned from Saban to adapt to today’s landscape. He would go bring in a guy like Briles or Yost and keep Diaz. He can recruit and be the CEO type. He’d also bring some energy.

Kiffen I don’t think would be a bad #2 choice.

I never been on the leach train but Young AA kids don’t care about being weird. That question is can you relate and keep it 100 at all times. That’s how you to AA kids from the hood.

WAZZU has more rushing yards than we do. Leach does not ignore the run. He just uses the pass to open up the run. And with a lot worse athletes than us he moves the ball and scores points.

You do realize that's not close to be true, right?

Wazzu has 508 rushing yards (150 attempts) through 7 games. Miami has 1473 (318 attempts) through 8 games.

Anyone could have had Kiffin after his tremendous first season at FAU and he stayed.

This year he is 3-4 at FAU and he already regressed after year 1, so NOW is the time hire him!
