I see that it's difficult for you to understand that there is a major difference between what you originally posted and what Mike James said.
Mike James essentially said it's an embarrassment for folks to spend money on a banner when there are kids dying.
His point was about the juxtaposition of spending money on banners while there were kids dying.
He didn't say you had to spend your every cent on dying kids.
He said don't spend A CENT on a banner while there are kids dying.
It was about the worthiness/importance of the endeavor in the grand scheme of things.
But I can already tell that this idea/theme is a bit difficult for you to get a hold of.
Well said - now you see how people twist messages. Mike James said some class things and the folks replying show how they are gutter trash.
If you really were on board with what MJ said, you would say the same for any frivolous spending. Don't spend a cent on meaningless football tickets while there are kids starving. You know, the grand scheme of things and all. Or is it your opinion that football tickets > starving kids??? I know you won't respond because you chicken littles never do. You just put people who obliterate your positions on ignore. Just like the imbecile with whom you are in agreement.
Oh I will reply chicken little. My values system is that I must give back to my community - Time, Talent and Treasure. I donate my time and Talent thru Habitat for Humanity and my treasure thru several local charities. I fail to see how donating to a negative banner fulfills any of my values - for my community or my family time - which includes season ticket SUPPORTING the canes. Am I frustrated at things , of course. But there is a way to take care of business , and loud Neggies who bring nothing to the table do not get any support from me. Did that help you, may not see you response since you are on ignore!! LOL!
I respect your opinion; however, I don't agree with you. You have a right to have an opinion that differs from others. That is what makes this country great. What it also does is make one look foolish which throwing out insults because you don't agree with a differing opinion. That makes on look foolish and unable to have a honest conversation on the merits and points of a conversation. You don't see most of the folks that support the banners in here saying Your fuggin dumbasses if you don't support the banner, your less of a canes fan because you don't support the banner, you SHOULD do this or that.
If you don't support it, say I don't support it. When you judge others for those that do, you become a target for attacks. I have a right to spend my money on anything I want (as long as it is legal), which out someone else telling me what to spend my money on.
You don't see the current players and Mike James complaining on me spending money on club level seats to what this abortion of a product on the field, but I am there every week to do it. I have been and always been. The reason you don't hear those complaints is because it benefits them, and I am glad for it, and wish they got more.
I draw the line on someone judging me on my opinion and telling me what I should and shouldn't spend my money on. I spent 6.5 years in the military so you and I can have a differing opinion and ability to spend our money on what ever the **** we want, it is our freedom and rights. I don't appreciate them be trampled on, and I would stick up for anyone trashing your right to have your opinion. You never seen me in here cussing or insulting the anti-banner haters. I only go after the trampling of my rights and ability to spend my money any **** way I want.
