Mike Harley

ONLY reason I can see anyone being disappointed in him is because of DMoney and Peter acting like he was our best WR. Like come on did anyone really believe that he was going to outperform Ahmmon or Berrios?

On that podcast, we predicted the Berrios breakout and said that Richards was the best WR in the ACC. We never, ever said that Harley was better than those two.

We did say he was our most productive receiver in camp, which he was. That's why he started the first game as a skinny true freshman. Games are different and he had to adjust to the physicality and some injuries. But I expect big things. He's a great worker with elite speed, quickness and good hands.

"Good hands" - Dude had major drop issues. He showed he has some of the most questionable hands on the team, so I disagree with that. Yes to the Elite Quickness which he's shown since HS. And Thomas is faster and probably Ahmmon too. But he's obviously got great speed.

Do you think he's better than Pope? (I don't)
Better than Thomas? No.
Better than Ahmmon? Obviously not.

Can we put our expectations back in check for a minute here. At best he's probably going to be our 4th WR. And thats not considering the other big WRs that will get PT this year over him almost purely based off of size/strength like Cager, Langham (if he doesn't transfer), or Hightower.

And I'm not trying to make it seem like Harley is a bum or anything, because I think he could probably start on other ACC teams, but I just don't see this "big impact" the rest of yall see unless there's an injury.

I didn't see all those drops. I saw one bad drop, one insane catch against Virginia, and a lot of balls thrown up for grabs like he was 6'6.

We'll see how he turns out, but he caught the ball consistently in camp which is when he got the most action. The coaches trust him.

I agree that Richards, Thomas and Pope will be our top guys. Harley gives us another dynamic receiver to match up. We will have unique speed and quickness at the position.

I havent seen anyone post up on Evidence Njoku?

Isn this kid going to be the goods as well next year?

Truly amazing how many true freshman have gotten burn on both sides of the ball this year.

Some kids just shrink when the big lights come on for game day and some kids rise up from looking like bums on the greentree

Not worried Kid just needs to understand how to use his frame, a QB that dosent throw it to him like hes a Njoku brother, and put on a little more muscle.

I no dude is ONLY a skinny true freshman but man did I expect more from him the yr...

Very disappointing freshman campaign considering the hype and buzz that was surrounding him during fall camp...

He is a really good blocker doe

wait till they throw to him when hes open next season u gun be like omg hes good

OP cn't come to the phone right now. He's busy playing the meat flute in the band. But If you'll please leave a message, someone will get back with you at the earliest convenience. BEEP

Just wait until the best arm talent of the last 20 years is throwing him the ball instead of Rosier.

Should have been a redshirt. That said, does anyone know why he was playing on the outside? With his tiny size, I thought he should play slot behind Berrios. Am i missing something here? When Rosier was throwing up jump balls to Harley, i was having flashbacks of how we completely misused Berrios last year. C'mon Dugans...

Just because he didn't have a great year, it doesn't mean he still doesn't have a bright future. What that said, anyone saying they didn't expect more from Harley this is year is lying.

He tore his ACL in practice a while back.

He needs to work on his hands he's a body catcher. I would like to see dj Dallas at wr starting spring I think he's gonna be our most reliable person on offense next year him and homer, JT and irvin jr need to step it up.

Spring will be key for both Thomas and Harley. I feel that with so much speed, we did not do a good job in being creative in getting the balls in their hands. We tried thomas in the backfield a couple times but had lazy calls out of that formation. Very little jet sweeps, bubbles, tunnel screens, etc.

So was I...dropped more balls than he caught.

He wasn't worth the trouble this year...I hope he proves that he was in the following 2-3 years.
