Michigan

The only way this makes any sense is if the scoreboard/tv clock got slightly unsynched when the refs added a second back on the clock before the start of the play. IIRC, the ref announced a reset of the stadium clock from :08 to :09.

So, while CFB clocks don't display tenths of a second like in basketball, they obviously still exist. So, if the official clock (which apparently is hidden) was actually at 9.3 seconds (showing :09), and the stadium clock is changed from :08 to :09 (which would be 9.00 seconds left) that could explain why the Scoreboard/TV clock showed :00 at the same time the "official" replay clock still showed :01, which changed to :00 fractions of a second after they claim the WMU touched the ball.

Still, I think the officials needed to have also synched up another camera angle that showed the WMU player actually touching the ball with their "official" clock still showing :01 to overturn the call on the field. You can't tell from the angle the Big10 posted when the WMU player touches the ball.
The game clock is the official clock. There is no way in **** there’s a 2nd or 3rd super secret clock that only officials can see. Nobody should accept that bull**** claim.

I wonder if when the replay is showed, they “update” the game clock to have one additional second? And then edit out the video of the opponents celebrating after the original game winning play, before proceeding to the final play?

They have just become my top hated team above ND, UiF, and Ohio State. I want them to lose every game, especially with their history of cheating.

The Big 10 statement wants to try and point out that the defender touched the ball while out of bounce. But as the video clearly shows and we all saw, time ran out before the defender touched the ball.

The game would’ve been over if the roles were reversed, 100%

How embarrassing to rush the field after that 🤣

******* loser mentality.

Exactly. What’s to stop conferences from setting up multiple super secret backup clocks split seconds behind to pull out for “break glass scenarios”?

What is this bull****?

GUARANTEE Tommy Carr is the starter by game 8. This is going to be a rough year for the champions of the west.

No, no, no, you can’t bench Underwood after that heroic final heave. He’s a legend now. You don’t send a legend to the bench. He’s earned the right to remain the starter at Michigan for as long as he wants.

Big Ten ****ed Miami last year & otherwise cheat to the bone for Michigan.

I can see why my alma mater Wisconsin gave up on football lol.

They'll never be the darling Michigan is.

They said the game clock is synced exactly. It is the real time. They just stole the fkn game. I can imagine what WMU players are feeling. To play your hearts out and earn a win. Then the corruption steps in and rips it away. Michigan is trash and they have the worst qb in power 4 football and paying him a fortune.

Occam's Razor says that NBC's broadcast simply had the videos of the play and the clock unsynchronized by a couple tenths of a second, and they either didn't realize it or didn't admit it, which fanned the flames of this controversy.

I've seen a few videos where people independently measure the time from the snap to the ball being dead, and it's less than 9 seconds. So they probably ended up making the right call.

Either way, it's a horrible look for the Big 10. **** em, lol.
