Saw in the herald this morning that he has to sit out the first half of the opening game next year. That seems kinda off to me, anybody know if that rule applies to games after the season is over?

There are no games after the season is over. He will have to sit out the first half of his next game, which will be next year.

Agree. I feel the 15 yd penalty is plenty if the target gets up and continues to play. If the target has to stay down cause he's really injured, or leave the game, then ejection makes sense.

Eject them. Fine. But if there's 2 minutes left or 3 quarters, it shouldn't roll over until the next game.. MUCH LESS THE NEXT SEASON.
