Michael Irvin

Terrell Owens couldn't lace Michael Irvin's cleats on his best day.

Lest we not forget, he lead the league in dropped balls TWICE during the prime of his career.

Yeah he was a great WR, but he was an insanely insecure ****** that ruined every locker room he ever played in.

Spent the majority of his career whining like a baby & it's why he never contributed to a winning team.

Say what you want about Skip Bayless, but he was always 100% on the money with his assessment of T.O.

Agreed...T-O cared way more about T-O's numbers than winning.... I'm not against a player wanting to have a Deionesque type persona but there's a reason why it worked for Deion where so many others failed with it....

I can't stand this ****…Get Irvin all the way the f**k outta here. Let coaches coach, please.
When we dominated college football, yes we had **** good coordinators & position coaches, but what really sperated us was having our brothers with us to push us through adversity... I'm all the years I've done football, **** it, sports in general at any level I've met two people that I would go through a wall for & I'm privileged to call them both my brothers. That's Ray Lewis & Michael Irvin. To have those boys get access to that passion & that knowledge is beyond any comparison. I get letting coaches coach. But motivation is real & these boys get it.

100% agree. Not to sound like an old man, who's telling kids to get off his lawn, but the players of previous generations were on another level when it came to their intangibles & approach to the game. Those players were intrinsically motivated, & weren't just playing for money, fame & stats. They were driven by something much more, and that's ultimately why they were able to leave a greater mark & legacy on the game. The objective of the game is to win, so ultimately greatness has to be measured within that context. For example, Lebron stans always try to make worthless stats & longevity the crux of their argument for why they think he's better than MJ; neither of those things should ever hold greater importance than winning.

On the whole I agree but I thought the year the eagles mad the superbowl TO did it all right and then McNabb **** the bed despite heroic efforts from TO. Granted I was just a kid so I didn't really know too much about what I was watching. Just seemed like he was all in, made every play he could including blocking downfield and other team first type plays and sacrifices in that one season. I think he even played the SB fresh off a broken leg or something and played out of his mind as well.
