Has anyone noticed that this year there is no standardized combine and the schools are running their own pro days. Now do any of you think it is a coincidence that this year these times are all fast as ****? Cmon guys all these schools are tryna pump their guys up. Everyone needs to add 0.15 seconds at the minimum to their time this year.

This was a hot topic on NFL radio. Teams feel. at disadvantage and increased expense because they simply can't rely on pro day data.

They even mentioned two schools (that remained nameless) that have their 40 times run on a subtly declined slope to help boost their recruiting prestige. One of the talking heads (I think it was Pioli) likened some, but not all, pro days to used car lots.

While the Combine is imperfect, at least it was a standardized imperfect.
