How much is our struggles in the secondary this year due to change in coaches from last year vs injuries/moving parts of players changing positions, etc?

It seems it could be a combo but we will run into trouble against the better teams.

I feel like biggest difference is Thornton is a liability compared to what we had last year in Scott.

Maybe our pass rush isn't as good this year which also affects our secondary.

Thoughts?

Talent DOWNGRADE. CRISTOBAL has to recruit the position BETTER

FSU has high level potential on offense. They are up and down and not consistent, but Corch Norvell can scheme up an offense with the best of them.

Daniels is big and athletic, and he threw ball accurate down the field. Kromah and Wisner is a talented duo, and Duce is a top 100 WR NFL draft like player. Danzby is talented also.

They have explosive big play potential on offense.

We still had them to 21 points until Hetherman dialed up a terrible in game situational call leaving Duce one on one with a CB playing his first game in 6 weeks up by 7 with less than 3 minutes left.

It’s a combination. But first and foremost it’s a sliding scale between talent and experience.

The talent is there, but ultimately talent with years under your belt is superior to lesser experienced talent. Bain and Mesidor were huge up front obviously. But Keionte and Jakobe played at en elite level and had tons of experience and PT prior to last season.

Theres cause for concern in the short term. Poyser’s hit happening in the first half helps next game. But 3 playing out of position, albeit admirably, is a massive difference maker and negates his elite abilities.
