We all know Miami has not played with much pace. But I had no idea how bad it was compared to the rest of the country. Look at our ranks nationally in plays per game since 2011:

2011- 114
2012- 82
2013- 123
2014- 120
2015- 96
2016- 106
2017- 104
2018- 116
2019- 91

For comparison, Lashlee's offense finished 3rd last year.

We have been explosive at times during that period. We finished in the Top 16 three times in yards per play, along with finishes at 29th, 32nd and 37th. But the pace has consistently been bottom of the barrel.

I don't know if this year's offense will be good. But it will definitely be different.

We don't know if it will be a good offense, but we know it will be better since it can't be worse...
And yes I know People said this last year but this year is truly different because miami has never really run a spread offense in modern football nor have we had a qb like D’Eriq king who is truly one of the most dynamic qbs in football with an impressive arm who also happens to be electric running the ball

This year we at least have indications from Spring that they're upping the tempo and making a tangible change. Last year we were all scratching our heads at the QBs under center and getting overly excited to just see a WR or two go in motion.

Assuming a repeat on defense, a top 25 in scoring and in PPP will likely translate into 11 games won if not more.

With the depth we should have in the front 7, Diaz better let them go for a top 5 pace ranking. More touches=more potential point. If the D can produce some turnovers and the O can convert those into any points, this team has a good chance of winning the coastal.

Whats funny is Diaz in interviews says its a different sport basically.. With our commitment to bro style offense we werent even playing college football anymore the last decade.. Lol.. Cant make this **** up

Golden talked about his tem-pro offense but he was more worried about protecting his butt buddy and his flawed system.. We only flirted with tempo with those teams..
Oh god that was the worst. We actually had an offense that could score in bunches but as soon as we had a lead, he'd go into clock-drain mode. Like, dude, there's 11 minutes left in the third quarter. We don't need to be taking the playclock down to 1 every single play. In fairness, I guess I'd do anything I could to keep that garbage defense off the field too.
