This is the formula: have many NFL quality players who sit for the meaningless bowl game

when you are playing against inferior talented teams who do not have NFL quality players.

thus, more of the opponent's team plays and has the determination to win.

the only hope was to get into the playoff where most of the Miami team would still try to win.

book this.

What if we can play the bowl games in August, instead of Dec?

but this is a problem-

there is a huge difference between winning 11 and 10 games a year

as well as finishing higher ranked to then lead into the next year

as well as a culture of winning

How is it a problem to lead into the next year lower ranked?

But the higher the perch the farther the fall

After yet another disappointing season, the last thing I care about is winning the Dulcolax Smooth Move bowl.

i swear by mario's man b88bs that we will win one bowl game. It will be sponsored by either a lawn product or a feminine hygiene company.

Nothing is funnier than our fanbase stating bowl games don’t mean anything when we haven’t been able to win more than 1 bowl game in approaching 20 years. This fanbase has the ball knowledge of a squirrel but if you tried to better understand college football you would see that the good teams win bowl games whether the unemployed message board warrior says “they are meaningless” or not.

In most cases… If you win bowl games you are a good program. If you lose them the way we do, You are not. It is that simple whether this fanbase wants to admit it or not

Who cares about these meaningless bowl games anymore. I used to care but now with the 12 team playoff, these meaningless bowl games are even more meaningless. I would just start the young guys at every position. Bowl wins mean nothing.
We should care. Clearly our opponents do. Thats why they win.

The bowl matches the team against teams with similar records. When we lose it shows just how bad we are at hiring coaches.

Coker and Richt. That’s it. In the 21st century two coaches could pull it off.

Winning some ****** bowl game does not make you a “good” program. Just means you might be just a little less ****** then the loser you played in the Sharmin TP bowl. Plus, most players opt out and the roster turn over too great to get any sense of what the team will look like next year.
Bowl games are absolutely meaningless now, except to get young guys experience. They have no bearing on your season or the next season.

I'd prefer to not go to another lame *** pop tart bowl game. This season is over. ND win was great. Florida win was nice. Time to get the portal talk going.
