Miami Vs UF

If we win Saturday we will have the exact same record as Richt did in 2016… we finished that year 9-4.

I don’t think we finish 9-4 but 8-5 isn’t that far off. Like I said before there’s a reason it’s called best case scenario.

If we want ANY shot at recruiting momentum/season momentum for 2023 (which will help in the portal) then we will have to win 4 out of the next 5 and THEN the best thing that can happen to us is we matchup with UF to give the bowl some meaning/interest, not to mention it WILL do us wonders to be able to say we beat UF/FSU in the same year in a TRANSITION year at that.

Believe it or not UF is not any better off right now than we are.

Kentucky/LSU handled them with Ease, they barely snuck past a BAD USF team, Barely beat a bad Missouri team.
If it wasn’t for a Fluke win against Utah to start off the year they’re in the same EXACT boat as us.

Not to mention they still have: UGA, A&M, South Carolina & FSU on their plate and all of those are either neutral site or away…

If this plays out and we end the year winning 5 of our last 6 with wins over UF/FSU those lights for 2023 will look a lot brighter…

8-5??....you can forget about that...

UVA is a toss-up.
Hoping we show up vs FSU because …FSU.

Let’s see where we are in 11 days, then go from there.

8-5 isnt far off?!? huh...we got Pitt FSU GA tech and UVa. I obviously didnt include Clemson. none of them are tough tough games but we've struggled w really bad teams and were more injured and more of a mess now than we were earlier in the year. this is a sub 500 team.

I hate to be an optimist but a Miami Vs UF Bowl game is the best case Scenario right now for the program (that’s also somewhat realistic)

If we can manage to go 7-5 and UF manages to go 7-5 I wouldn’t be surprised to see them match up in a bowl game.

The gators right now are 4-3 (about to be 4-4 with UGA coming this week)
Recruiting Wise if we can have a win against both FSU & UF in the same year that will do wonders for us as well as propel us for 2023 (which to be honest this season is lost and we playing for momentum/hope/pride at this point)

UF will most Likely take an L to UGA as well as one of: @ South Carolina, @Texas A&M or @FSU which IMO would put us on par to matchup with them in a bowl game if we can manage W’s against UVA, FSU, GT & PITT

Before anyone comes at me saying beating FSU is unlikely just remember we lost to a BAD FSU team last year and I won’t write anything off for a rivalry game.

this is a BEST case scenario for us.

I won’t hold my breath on it happening but for the rest of the season our best case scenario is:

1. Gattis Leaves and we implement some form of spread (this is just as bad as Enos)
2. We get healthy/get young & returning guys quality burn
3. We beat FSU
4. We matchup with UF in a bowl game and also win
5. We don’t lose any underclassman to the draft that shouldn’t leave
Oh Stevo Bevo. The only thing I can say is I admire your optimism

This team would benefit significantly from focusing on upcoming games only.
Not watching rankings.
Not seeing if they are trending on social media.
And certainly not speculating about which Bowl game they may play in

For ***** sake...

Learn how to win football games by playing with intelligence, intensity and discipline.

Haven’t we been taking it 1 game at a time trying to go 1-0 every week?

Maybe that we won’t be bowl eligible would actually motivate someone.

To be honest I am not sure.

FWIW I am on board with no bowl game.
Never reward bad behavior or performance.

No trophies unless you win.

There is always the extra bowl practices concept and the hope of finishing on a higher note… but we’ve been bad in bowls for so **** long

After VT I told family and friends that I didn’t see us beating anyone else on our schedule and after Duke I am even more convinced.

That 2016 Richt team was on another stratosphere from this team.

That team was littered with future NFL players and was quite honestly a better team than the 9-4 we finished at.

I appreciate the optimism but you're setting yourself up for disappointment.

We can very well finish this year 4-8 but i'm going to guess 5-7.

We're not finishing 9-4 lol That's a pipe dream

There’s a reason I said “best case scenario” and not “most likely scenario”

Because at this point it’s the best thing that can happen for us…we beat FSU, win our remaining games outside of Clemson, get matched up with UF because we both sucked this year and then go on to win and ride the momentum of beating your two biggest instate rivals in the same season EVEN in a down season.

Matching with UF is the ONLY way I can see our bowl game having ANY meaning and to be honest it’s not impossible that we matchup with them considering they still have to play UGA, South Carolina, A&M as well as FSU to close out…and I have doubt they’ll drop a minimum of 2 of those.

I barely have faith we will win this Saturday LMAO but as I said it’s a best case scenario for a reason…
I’m confused. According to that ***** gator that for some ******* reason is allowed to post here and even start threads, the gators are far and away ahead of the U
