Cal is another must win.

Boston College SHOULD be a win.

Sets the stage for that UNC game and an opportunity to get a quality win.
All I ask for this season is Miami to beat the teams they are supposed to beat. Any upset wins are gravy. Miami winning 20+ games is a successful season, Miami being on the bubble on selection sunday is a wildly successful season. Miami making the NCAA Tournament is a potential "Coach of the Year" type of season. This team is literally 6 dudes and a bunch of refuse from the Wellness Center...

Which, to their credit, they have for the most part.

That FSU game was the exception, unfortunately. Can’t believe we lost to them at home.

That was a horribly officiated game.

The Stanford ***alloons started playing dirty defense once we got up by 10 in the first half (29-19). After they came out of that TO, the borderline body checks, hand checking, hacking and pushing were on full display, and the zebras weren’t calling anything on them.

2nd half began much the same way. You could tell that the Canes were in shock at some of the blatant fouls that the refs were refusing to call in our favor. Then on the other side, any ticky-tack contact was being whistled.

It wasn’t until late in the 2nd that we started going to the line a lot.

Reneau looked incredulous on the play under the basket where he got hack-a-shacked by 2 dudes, and the ref said it was out on Miami, and Stanford ball.

Henderson also looked like he’d had enough by the 2nd half and sent a couple of messages that if they wanted that smoke, then they were gonna find out. After that 2nd call where they went to replay to see if was a flagrant foul after that dude did his best LeFlop impersonation, the Canes played lights out and closed the door. Hendo was about to knock somebody out. You could tell that he was ****ed. That seemed to light a 🔥 (Pause) under our team. They poked the bear and found out.

Kinda disappointed in the crowd. Especially when the Red Panda is in attendance.
We all would like to see the place truly sell out (meaning actual bodies in seats) for every game but after all these years it is what it is.

The AD would tell you we have sellouts or close to that now for every game. Your eyes tell you a much different story.

I’ll take the W, we really needed that one as Stanford is a fellow bubble team. But it’s clear this team isn’t playing their best ball right now, especially at home. We have stretches where we look really good, and then we have stretches where we look like last year’s team (the middle third of this game). Not sure if it’s a mid season lull or we are running out of gas due to the lack of depth, but I hope we get it figured out because the schedule gets much tougher in the heart of February.

Also, I get this isn’t a top 10 team, but the crowds this season have mostly been pathetic. You’d think the team was 4-17, not 17-4. There’s zero energy in the building and just a sparse turnout nearly every game. Disappointing

Announced crowd was 4900, so only abouf 60% of the capacity was sold. Actual crowd was probably more like 3K.

Yea the crowds seem worse than last year somehow. Are ticket prices crazy or something? You'd think there would be excitement for a new coach doing really well.
