So I’m 37. Watching this game for the first time in my life. My first Cane memory is Wide Right I... don’t remember anything about the 87 Fiesta Bowl but after watching the first 5 minutes, how in the f*ck did we lose this game?!

Turnovers , dropped passes , and tough play on PS. Many people blame Vinny for the loss. It was a team loss and as you can see Michael Irvin was NOT stellar. No doubt we should have buried them . As the game progressed it was the Vinny bag of donuts show.
 
Vinny busted his *** in late November while riding a scooter on campus. It pretty much sidelined him for the entire month of December leading up to that game. If anyone else on the QB depth chart so much as plays a quarter in that game, I think we win.
 
I mean, is this a joke? This is literally laughable. Paterno can rot in ****. His pedo team is so out matched. How do we lose this game?!

Vinny 5 INTs. Most of them were in our red zone IRCC. The defense was so outstanding.

Turnovers plain and simple. Their defense could not stop us running or passing. The int's were all bad throws...Vinny was hurt. PSU never scores but for 1 T.O. deep in our own territory. Then we took the ball down the field and should have won the game. If we had given Alonso the ball, he'd still be runnng. Instead Vinny threw his final pick.
 
I was 4 years old when this game happened. I remember none of it. I remember the 90’s. I was 16 when we beat FSU in 2000. 2001 was the greatest football season of my life. 2003 Fiesta Bowl I was in college and the Terry Porter night got ugly. I’m a pretty sane human but I could have killed Porter that night and not thought twice about it
