Dyrell mcMillan was a BEAST of a RB for us in 1997. Came out of Southeast High School and was the backfield mate of Peter Warrick. Sick *** HS team.

Dyrell was balling that year, freshman year, when he got hurt. Then some kid later to be known as Edge got a chance. We all know how it turned out haha.

We had a lot of young guys starting in these post-probation days

Hard to say because Butch's evals were so good. Think about the people we just listed as youngsters on that team: Franks, Edge, Morgan, Moss, Reggie Wayne. Some were highly rated but some like Moss were guys Butch found. Just between these 5 guys consider that's more than 50 years of NFL tenure and some of the best to ever play the game.

You’re kidding right? Like absolutely kidding with the comment that butch “found” Santana because he was a diamond in the rough right?
Santana Moss was a known kid who played for the 2X defending state champions that dominated everyone except 1 team on their schedule like 20 something kids from those Carol City teams went D1. The only thing Butch did was use a track scholly on him which was legal back then. Butch found Santana.....LOL

Dyral McMillan, played on some of the best teams Bradenton Southeast ever had. Later transferred to play on USF's new program.

Sure is. Butch whipped those guys into shape. He also whipped our guys on the field last year.

Man that game. We had first and goal at the 1 and a bad snap or fumble got kicked around and ended up being like a 45 yard loss. We ended up punting. Just a an agonizing game.
