Defense and Rebounding are close to an elite, championship level.
Especially compared to the last two seasons.
The flaw is the ability to make jumps shots and free throws.
Definitely excited about what I see as I want to see the perimeter shooting improve.

So BYU brought back the DUI kid for this game, and he has 18.

Random thoughts:
-The zone killed us. It was like watching L teams
-We lack a reliable jump shooter. No idea if 88 was injured
-Tre needs to focus on ball distribution not jump shots
-Shelton is reminding me a bit too much of DQJ. It’s early though
-FT shooting needs to get fixed yesterday
-How many bunnies has Malik missed this year?
-I’m sure Jai is used to hearing the whistles the other way
-Udeh continues to underwhelm
Still have confidence in the staff

Just average FT shooting this was a 2 possesion game, and that is after BYU brought back the DUI kid against us, but he hasnt played in 2-3 weeks, and missed their only loss vs. UCONN.

Hard fought game.
But couldn't overcome porous Free Throw & 3pt shooting.
Tre had another bad shooting night.
It's going to be a reoccurring theme throughout the season, but his shot selection is too erratic at times. He's gotta play more in control & learn to be more of a Floor General ball distributor when his shot is not falling. He forces it too much.
Reneau's gotta get more aggressive. This was a game where we needed him to take over in the mid 2nd half when we hit a dry spell, but he was too quick to give the ball up. He's gotta demand the ball & not be afraid to go ISO.
Even with all that, we still were in it for most of the game, just have to find a way to generate buckets.

FT’s looks like habitual problem
3 point shooting was horrific
Missed countless layups mainly due to BYU length and yet only lost by 10 to the 9th ranked team.
I think this team can surprise some people if they clean up some this stuff but who knows maybe they never will.
Both the men and women have now played up there and both games looked like a road game with crowds.
