Miami v UF Grades and Snap Counts - 9/20/2025

Bain and Mesidor played every single snap, and played that well.

That is ******* ABSURD.
I think given the absurdity of our bye timeline it is fine right now, and obviously when you’re shutting offenses down and only having 3 and outs it makes it far easier.

Beginning Louisville and beyond we need more rotation. No byes for 7 straight weeks. Just for wear and tear reasons we need to preserve them. Need Lightfoot and Blount to be able to handle closer to 25+ (currently Lightfoot is closer to 15, and Blount is 20) and then guys like Pickett/Bryant and hopefully a healthy Mcconathy to get 5-10ish good snaps when needed… and no question Scott needs to get to the point he’s earning closer to 25+ per game so Blay and Moten can be good all yr. Simpson and Daylen Russell will need to start contributing 5-10snaps as well.

Was Josh Moore hurt against USF? Caught two touchdowns and a few other passes in the game. What do you have to do earn playing time? Is his run blocking deficient?
He’s exclusively been used purely as a down field threat, and Uf was playing 2 high safety and it was pouring rain and Beck couldn’t hit ****. Think it was more game flow. They got ultra run heavy and just abandoned any hope of generating an explosive play.

Would I rather just run 4 WRs and not have Bauman on the field 60 snaps? Obviously. Bauman should be getting like 20 snaps max, and it should be more in the redzone.

Realistically UF has so many 3 and outs - that game was an anomaly. That's the reason Scott didn't get much time. We will definitely need him against FSU who will test the D with Malzhan's scheme.

I hope more teams play 2 high against us, as long as Carson learns to be patient. Run the ball down their throats and dink and dunk in the passing game. Plays to our strengths in passing game too, as we lack explosive WRs, but Toney and Daniels are money in short game, Lofton potentially too, and our backs are great catching the ball.

Usually not a big fan of time of possession, but considering how thin we are on defense in the front 7, can only help us out on defense if our front 7 starters can play most of the snaps because our offense has held the ball for so long.

I don’t understand what the coaches see thus far in Bauman. He missed on some blocks and was TERRIBLE as a receiver.
At this point, he's a Greentree All American personified.

I'd love to see it all click for him because he's had the opportunities, but wasting a down on his potential seems like a waste in a meaningful game.
