Much like the 2009 game vs VT, the weather is going to be a huge factor in determining the outcome of this game. It's possible the first two games that had major weather issues helped prepare Miami for the rain, but because of the delays, I doubt it.
If it's dry, Miami should light up Nebraska's secondary. After taking a two touchdown lead, Golden will likely slow down the offense and kill our momentum in an asinine attempt to keep the defense off the field, allowing Nebraska to make the game closer than it should be in the second half. Miami pulls out a 28-24 victory.
If it's wet, Kaaya struggles to get in sync with his receivers, and the offense staggers on third downs. Nebraska stacks the box and prevents Yearby from being effective. Nebraska shreds our 2 gapping 3-4 defense on the ground throughout the entire first half. Corn elder gives us good field position on special teams, and we settle for field goals that "keep us in the game". D'onfrio considers making halftime adjustments and utilizing a 1 gap 4-3 under hybrid moving a SS into the box, but in the end concludes he's better off staying with the 3-4 2 deep zone and preventing the big play down field. Nebraska opens the half with a play action pass for a 65 yard TD. On our last drive we manage to score a meaningless TD in order to make the score line look better, but it's too little too late. Nebraska takes it 32-27.
