Encouraging first tilt for our University of Miami Hurricanes against the gaytors.

Barring catastrophic injury or Miami reverting back to doom and gloom atmospherics from past 20 years (I don't think so), the program very likely heads towards the future Friday night matchup (VT seems to love those) 4-0 and probable Top 10 ranking (just because others will lose if for no other reason).

VT was embarrassed today and they were supposed to be much better.

Do they get their act together?

Can our Canes stay focused and healthy one game at a time and take care of business?

After VT it gets much harder with a trip to Cal, then Louie, then hated FSU, with Duke right before what appears to be a rising GT squad.

We haven't seen this type of real and solid play for so long (I even said 2017 was luck more than skill back then) it's hard not to rub our eyes and pinch ourselves to believe it isn't a dream.

Like @JHallCanes says, we gotta man up and push those plates.

The way VT looked today, it wouldn't surprise me if USF is a tougher test the week before, than VT. Not that we shouldn't be at them handily, but they improved greatly through last season and to start this one.

ACC gon ACC

Every week will be a ***** if we let it be a *****

Or we could just drag nuts and make it a cakewalk with these mediocre teams
And that is a key doom and gloom atmospheric from Miami of yesteryear.

Those teams found a way to disappoint themselves.

They found a way to not live up to their potential, let alone exceed the sum of their parts.

Today just feels different. What I'm still working out, "is this lasting?"

I lean yes.

Early returns on the ACC so far is, other than Miami, the conference as a whole looks like hot garbage. Luckily we have the expanded playoff this year because the ACC looks so bad right now they may have tried to keep us out this year if we run the table…but I digress. Bottom line is, the difference between the “good” teams and “great” teams is staying focused and bringing it every single week. Early returns look very exciting, but we must stay focused.

We laughed at VT when they lost to James Madison, and they proceeded to put a hurtin on us en route to a conference title, so we can't count our can of worms before the horse. That being said, now we have an actual adult at DC, a leader at QB, and kids who are not only blue chip talent, but seem to have blue chip heads on them as well. Joaquin said dominate, and this team looks to have the hunger to do it.
