We closin i dont care how good TC visit is at uga we closin

How good can it be, it's gonna be 24 degrees? lol

Sorry Rattler, but I am hoping cuz has a bad trip. Lots or turbulence, lost luggage, explosive diarrhea, etc.

its 56 right now and miserable rain. the dreary and ****** kind not the quick miami rain with the sun still shining. should starting getting real cold first thing Saturday morning.

I think it’s fair to say he is the #1 Target on Miami’s board.

That would be Tyson

I know Tyson is an elite talent but the DT position has more of a need in my opinion. Let’s hope the staff closes on both of them!

I agree. As far as value to the team DT far exceeds the need at DB. I see Michael Thompson will be visiting also and if we can get both this class will be a 10 with or without Campbell. Given all the connections to the program for Campbell, if he were coming, he would have already committed IMO.

Wish I had your confidence man. I’m becoming a mope on the close down the stretch.

Come on, Inday. Steve Wiltdong feels a vibe and then CB's Tyson to UGA, and says if not them then Alabaga? Lol - He's been here more than anywhere else and it isn't close, for starters.

Tyson doesn't tell his own family what he's gonna do. Meanwhile, other kids say he seems Miami, Brooklyn says he left the Army game talking Miami and Rattler, his cousin, says he hasn't named a leader and it's always been Miami and some other flavor of the month school.

We the leader, mang. They can roll in all the baseless CB's they want. It doesn't change anything until Tyson says so. I'd rather be in our position here than anyone else. To quote Jesse Jackson: #KeepHopeAlive

This is all well and good, but I mean beyond TC.

I’ll say what I think and take the heat. We’re all family here. I think this staff has grossly underestimated how difficult it is to secure good to great DTs, and the elite coach is not an elite crooter. We should not be midnight offering guys this late in the cycle. That never works with DTs. They’re the QBs of the defense.

I’m concerned that they thought they had Jobe for as long as they did. We knew he was leaving for months. Richt has a reputation as an elite crooter and I think he still is, but that was a red flag on his staff. My fear is that somewhere there is a disconnect between hope and reality. And I’m still jilted by their approach to defensive personnel. Taking one LB is mind bending.

I want to be dead wrong, I want this post to be resurrected and publicly humiliated. But my gut is my gut, and right now it’s a queasy quagmire of questions and quandaries. I foresee a lot of whiffleball down the stretch.

***Caveat: I know it’s going to feel exponentially worse than it actually is, because this class is 80% locked in and elite. There are fewer targets now so it’ll feel worse because we’re so hyper focused on them.

I used to feel that way with the old staff but Im sure we close, when kids visit other places they are always excited and get crystal balled and all that ****. I still and have always felt good about the heritage kids period besides PS2 hes the only one that I know probably isnt coming here. I also understand the mope city and if we dont somehow close then u can expect that y early and mope about it with the evidence we have. That being said we will know in a month if we closers or frauds at closing.

Good post. Same **** happened at RB last year.

I'm no DT expert, but I don't get why the board is so lukewarm on this kid. Seems like a kid with a big frame, a lot athleticism and great stats that can grow into a stud. Hope we land him.

After seeing his incredible production and hearing his coach says he's built like a tank with plenty of room to fill out and that he plays with a huge motor I'm with you all the way. This dude is a big-time prospect, and I'd love to have him.

Must pair him with Silvera at the very minimum. I would feel good with Silvera + Briggs + X (no idea who this would be, maybe Carson? Or a low-key under the radar, high upside guy)

Whose Rattler?

TC cuz

Does he post here?

Shadow's post made it sound like you (Dwinstitles) was Rattler and that Dwinstitles was your pseudonym.

Yes to all of this. I just see TC as different than the other situations. Their approach to DL and LB recruiting is concerning.

Briggs is a must get to pair w Nesta down the road

We really need 1 or 2 more for depth, but those two are musts

I think the only negative on Briggs is he isn't quite big enough to contribute right away. No biggie, most DTs aren't. He's a lean 260-ish right now but there's lots of room for him to grow.

Indy stop with your gut. You never played a sport past 12 years, never played a down of football. Your analysis and knowledge is horrible.

****, even the mods are getting soft around here. The same coaches that locked in an early signing day class that rivals any in the country are the same coaches that are going to put a exclamation point on this class by closing strong. This isn't the old staff, they haven't given me reason to doubt them thus far.

I agree to a point about the defensive numbers but they are in a better position to know than we are. Maybe they really like the freshmen LBs from last year, maybe they like next years prospects much better, maybe they didn't love this years crop of LBs or maybe it was a combination of all that, who knows.

I'm more concerned about DT but I like our 2 deep. Just have to keep them healthy, close on Silvera/Briggs and maybe a 3rd if the right one presents itself and go to town next year. The Jobe situation concerns me less, what were they supposed to do stop recruiting him? Sounds good in theory but it wasn't going to happen, and everyone would have lost their **** if it did. Maybe it would bother me more if he was the focal point of our DB class but that's not the case. I love our DB class as is and if we get TC, then I just don't see how anyone can say anything about the DB class.
