Miami to play host to 2021 National Title Game

2022 Indy is a terrible choice.
Anyone who goes to Miami in January and then Indy in January the following year will be sorely disappointed.

I’m sure Indy is great for the locals, but there is literally nothing about it that’s alluring. At least Houston has decent weather and good food.

Not saying Indy compares to Miami, but Indy is far from a terrible choice. Indy is a great event town and the location of the stadium is a major advantage. There are enough hotel rooms to support the crowds and they close down roads around the stadium to make it easy to walk to/from the game. There's a reason the Super Bowl was there a few years ago and why the Final Four is there every 5 years. They know how to run an event of this scale. All of downtown becomes about that event. If you visit for an event like this, I guarantee you won't be disappointed. Any other weekend, that's a different story.

*whispers I actually like Indianapolis. Ya it's cold, but there are much worse cities in the Midwest they could have chosen.

Gonna be pretty awesome to play for the national championship in our home stadium...

Indy is a fine city. My comment should not be misunderstood to suggest that Indy itself is terrible. And of course it's good for the locals who want a game to go to - but that's true no matter the city.

My point is it doesn't compare to places with more temperate climates in the heart of winter and places with more attractions outside the game itself. It got as low as -1 F on January 7th of this year. Miami had a high of 87 F that same day. No comparison. Plus, there is far more to do in places like Miami and LA for visitors than Indianapolis.
