Miami @ Stanford 9-4-2026 Game Thread

[Distructobot3000]

I think eventually, we’ll figure out the running game. I think our ridiculous passing game, and the respect it’s going to receive from opposing defenses going forward, will really help open things up

[Strobe]

aside from the obvious stuff, thought Posyer played solid

[Arehel]

White bread Becky had no idea what Toney just said

Same

[KingB02]

Mallory is a dude

Mallory had a little space because of whoever the TE was was blocking. That’s all I saw

[CanesSkins26]

Weird to feel so frustrated about the D after only giving up 6 points. The secondary, in particular, was pretty disappointing tbh

The secondary but also the linebackers in coverage. 1 and 9 looked clueless at times trying to cover the TE.

Mallory > Pringle

Nope -
If Pringle had those two plays where he was wide open he house calls them *****. Mallory is a super slow bowling ball looking dude

[AZHurricane]

Why the **** are starters still in?

First game. Conference game. Gotta let ‘em play.

[Canes2026Champs]

I have such a chubby right now.

[Dwinstitles]

Yeah Puerto Ricans have a lockdown on football

We can steal so we may have picked that off

[919cane]

Hetherman is so good. Even when it seems like we're not playing well defensively, we never give up many points.

[ssvir]

He keeps doing this he’s going top 5 in the draft

Very deep QB class.

I hope he wins the Heisman and we win the natty and offer $10M to run it back.

[PCBcanefan]

Already replaying on espnu

ESPN box score has Jordan Lyle with a fumble (not lost)

Assuming it’s the Damari brown punt return that wasn’t even a fumble anyways

[judge smails army]

Flawless game for mali and mensah

Best qb/wr duo we have ever had(X & Cam ily)…yes i know it’s early but brother

Kosar-Downtown Eddie Brown too

Lyle always in trouble.

Try fire LT…and soon to be Captain.

Am I supposed to be impressed by that?

[k9cane]

@k9cane this is exactly what we needed…

Now it’s development time…

they established points (and were entertaining in the process) and then emptied the bench. They absolutely have things to work on, but this was a great start to the season...

time to work now, good flight home, watch film, no sunshine pumping. LB’s - secondary- OL all running sprints this AM on Greentree.

I saw enough of Cantwell, leave him in there, take a couple of lumps along the way but he’s that dude. I think he swings to RT before too long, kick McCoy inside. Rod, was serviceable, snapping has to improve. SJ is not the answer at LG, learn to snap or move to FB, Samson is a natural guard, but until we figure out that spot, he can stay at tackle.

Exactly…

And these are the upcoming weeks to do different things…
