Miami Should hire Bob Stitt as Offensive Analyst he could modernize coach Richt's play book as well be a sounding board for scheming against opponents throughout the season.
Let's face it coach Richt hired only yes men on the offensive side of t yhe ball that lack play calling skills. Stitt could coach up the staff in spread concepts and also develop route tree combos. A good leader surrounds themselves with people who are smarter than they are.
Stitt made 180k as HC at Montana. So if Miami offered him 80k + 20k housing stipend, and a golf club membership I think he would take it. As HC he was putiing 100 hours a week as an Analyst he would be putting in 20-40 hrs/wk an he would be in Miami.
Alabama and Clemson have an army of former Coordinators abd Head Coaches they hired as Analyst to do this very same thing.
Coach Richt is a good man , but he is not very creative in his play calling or scheme an needs help. An Stitt is the man that Mike Leach and Dana Hologerson call for offensive ideas an theory are two of the best spread offensive minds in college football.
