There is no commitment to winning. We have tried running things on a bargain basement budget for twenty years, living on the glories of the past and suckering in recruits who are not developed by inexperienced coaches. Miami could go 0-12, and the school does not care. Miami could go winless in basketball, and the school does not care. So just shut it down.
The entire point of sports is to try to compete and try to win championships , and like Jeff Lurias Marlins that is not what the University of Miami is in the business of doing anymore. So stop the charade, pull the plug, and let the players go elsewhere after this season. This twenty years has been a farce. Let the president of Miami take the funds that they would use and build another medical center.
