The Carol Soffer Indoor Practice Facility is going to be filled with top talent across the country this weekend. One of the nation's top 2028 safeties will be in Coral Gables for an unofficial visit.

CJ Craig-James, a 6-foot-3, 185-pound safety out of Birmingham, Alabama, told CanesInSight that he will be visiting Miami on Sunday. He just checked out the Auburn Tigers and will visit Notre Dame tomorrow.

He plays for Parker High School where he accomplished a total of 37 tackles, two pass deflections, one forced fumble, and four interceptions. According to 247Sports, CJ is currently ranked as a high four-star prospect. He ranks as the No. 71 player in his class, No. 7 among safeties, and No. 5 in Alabama.

CJ currently holds a total of 42 offers. He told CIS that 10 schools are going after him the hardest: "Texas, Notre Dame, [Alabama], Miami, LSU, Tennessee, Georgia, [Vanderbilt], Florida, and Ohio State are the most consistent," noted CJ. "Miami is real high on my list, like in the top 5."

A few weeks back, I spoke with Craig-James about his recruitment and where the Miami Hurricanes stand. You can check that article out HERE:

He was a great athlete and beat out ****erson for SWAC New comer of the year. ****erson had the greater total career, but James was no slouch.
