Miami receives commitment from 2025 SG Dante Allen

Just didn't pay attention until I started seeing the name pop up more the last few years. I'm sure they have been good for awhile though.

Embiid, Scottie Barnes, Cade Cunningham, (Ben Simmons), RJ Barrett, Anfernee Simmons, DAngelo Russell, the Nembhards, Flagg, the roster's pretty impressive

Seems like a Bensley type. Always need those type of guys in college who already come in ready to contribute and play a role and have the potential to do more down the line. Fits what Jai wanted in a tough defensive minded team.

I get the comparison but Allen has a much higher ceiling. He has better size, length, and athleticism than Joseph.

It's a good place to start when you're trying to rebuild a program. Get guys who are very capable defensively, and build out the offensive game with transfers/recruits in subsequent seasons.

I watched his highlights and I see some Deron Williams in his game. They physically look similar, plus lots of similarites on the court. I know Deron was a PG but dude could score as well. And Dante put out some nice assists in the vids I watched.

Drive past this school all the time didn't realize until last year what a power house it is for basketball.
