Miami Ranked #8 in Coaches Poll

LSU #24 so we will be favored in the matchup. I'm not sure that is good or bad. Our team plays better as underdogs. Except when we play the likes of Clemson.....yuck.
To be consistently good, we need to handle prosperity well. Remains to be seen.
 
Figured this is where we would be. When is the last time miami started a season ranked in the top 10?
 
If we can END the year in the top 10 the 19 class will end up extremely solid & the 20 class which is already scary good will have a chance to be epic.

Although UM is favored, that is not how it works. Books don't go off media rankings or the coaches poll when they create spreads. It is always better to close as the favorite as teams that close as the favorite win more times than they lose. In college football, I believe teams that close as 3 point favorites or less win about 52.54% of the time (UM is currently -2.5 (-119) Pinnacle, -2.5 (-115) Bookmaker. We'll see how this line reacts as the limits increase closer to kickoff.

2005 was the last time we were ranked pre season Top 10. 2003 is the last time we finished in the Top 10. That streak ends this year.
