Mario Cristobal has done an incredible job laying the foundation for years down the road, as the Hurricanes already have a quarterback commit for 2027, 2028, and 2029.

2027 five-star commit Israel Abrams and 2029 four-star commit CJ Cypher put on a clinic this past Friday for both of their high schools.

Abrams is one of the most productive quarterbacks in the country, boasting a 27-1 overall record as a starting quarterback. This past Friday, he led his Montini Catholic Broncos to a comeback 47-42 victory over Nazareth Academy, throwing for 411 yards and a career-high seven touchdown passes. He completed 25 of his 35 passing attempts and threw zero interceptions.

He is the highest-ranked quarterback recruit to commit to Miami since five-star prospect Kyle Wright in the 2003 recruiting class. Last season, Abrams racked up 4,072 passing yards, completing 233-of-340 passes with 40 touchdowns and six interceptions.

On the other hand, 2029 quarterback CJ Cypher led his Carrollton Trojans team to a 63-7 victory over Hapeville Charter. He completed 26 of 35 passing attempts for 449 yards and five touchdowns. On the season, his high school team is currently 4-0, as he has thrown for over 1,400 yards, 20 touchdowns, and zero interceptions.

According to the 247Sports Composite Recruiting Rankings, Cypher is currently rated as a four-star prospect. Standing at 6-foot-2 and 190 pounds, he ranks as the nation's No. 11 overall player in his class and the No. 1 quarterback.
