Miami Potentially Just Locked Themselves Into The NCAA Tournament

the college football playoff propaganda has unfortunately made its way to college hoops and I believe one could make the argument it is even worse given how mediocre the sec has been at hoops for a long time (besides Kentucky & Florida)
yup. one more gripe abotu AU - they were like losers of 7 straight just recently. ******* nuts

Hoops, trust, I’m with you lol $€©️

this is why Bruce Pearl tried to argue against an undefeated Miami OH that loses their conference tournament compared to Auburn

Yeah I find it wild that ESPN has NC state as a lock and us has a should be in. While NC State probably does get in I wouldn't put it at over 85-90%, our odds are essentially 100% after the SMU win, honestly after we beat BC we were basically a lock as far as I saw it since that was our last chance for a landmine loss. While our resume isn't amazing by any stretch, the bubble is really weak this year and our metrics are generally in the mid 20s to early 30s which is comfortably safe of the bubble and much more in line with a top 8 seed than a bubble team.

Additionally we play a highly rated Louisville team in our last regular season game, and with the double bye in the ACCT our chances of playing a team to give us a bad loss isn't great. I think our absolute floor (i.e. 2 consecutive losses) would be a 9 seed, but realistically 7-8 seed is more probable with some potential for upward movement into the 6 seed range if we grab another win or two.

It doesn't matter what DraftKings Network says, we'll be a higher seed than NC St if they even get in.

apparently were still a bubble team

This is AFTER the win over SMU...with us at 24-6 and locked into the 3-seed for the ACC Tournament...

We beat 2 of the 5 "locks" and lost to a third "lock" on a last-second foul. We play the fourth of those five "locks" on Saturday.

Louisville is a lock purely because they were ranked as high as #6 this year after beating a horribly over-ranked Kentucky team. They also beat a similarly over-ranked 22 Indiana, and have no other ranked wins this year.

NC State is a poor man’s version of Lou, with an overtime win vs then-18 Clemson and a beatdown of ranked UNC. They were ranked early in the year for a week, then promptly lost and have not reappeared since.

Both will have at least 7 losses in conference. Both “Locks”

I mean, I can't argue with your logic. Look at BYU:

BYU was ranked at #9 when they beat us. Now they are in NINTH place in the Big 12, with an 8-9 conference record and 20-10 overall.

Yep, BYU is a "lock"...
