Boys and girls, the Miami Hurricanes men's basketball squad might’ve done enough to punch their ticket to March Madness after beating the Florida State Seminoles 83-73 on Tuesday night.

That win was huge for the Hurricanes. Even with Florida State riding a three-game winning streak, they climbed in the NET rankings, and the game ended up counting as a Quad 1 win for Miami.

That’s now Miami’s fourth Quad 1 win of the season, giving the Hurricanes a strong résumé push toward the NCAA...

Ironically, NCAA website only has us 3-4 in Quad 1 wins. Either way, look at the blue circles showing teams ranked ahead of us with less Quad 1 and Quad 2 wins. Don’t get why Miami gets so much shade thrown at them in both football & basketball

its a shame that if we had a Tar Heel logo with the same season/schedule, wed be a lock and in the top half of the field.

Not according to some commentators.

NC State? Safely in. Miami who beat them away and is two full games ahead of them in the conference? “Should” be in, but not a certainty.

There is not a single metric by which NC State should be in above Miami, yet we will 100% be seeded below them.

We've seen this for decades. Regardless of Miami's accomplishments, we never get a comparable seeding to our metrics and quality wins.

Sad, but expected.

I hear ya- but I think the committee will look favorably at Miami- unless we drop the last two and then bow out of the ACC early. We should finish the season in third place in the conference- which sets us up nicely for the NCAA's. Miami has had a good season and will be rewarded for it.

The BC game was the lock game. Not only did Miami win, but won in a laugher, I can't remember the last time this team won a game in this fashion. Now, it's about finishing the season strong, a win over SMU or UL moves Miami up a seed line, a win in the ACC Tournament may move Miami up another line. At this point, it's about avoiding a 1 or 2 seed in the second round, if the 'Canes advance...

CBS Sports updated bracket today has us as a #7 and NC St now as a #9.

NC St is also in freefall after Will Wade threw his team under the bus. I would not be surprised if they lose out and miss the tourney entirely

didnt NCSU lose by like 400 to UVA while we barely lost on the road?

We now have enough data and comparatives to make informed rankings and seeds, without relying on the "Jai is a first year coach with zero returning players" generalizations and low expectations.

Won’t help our resume strength if that happens
