Miami picked to Finish Second in the Coastal.

I wonder where those experts had UNC at this same time last year before they came from the depths and won the Coastal.

5th

So they're prescient? Or are they simply front-runners who pick the teams that did well the previous year?

Yep. Gt was the heavy favorite last year to win it because they won it in 2014.

And they won 3 total games last year right?

Slap in the face to Brad.....tied for 4th in POY vote with 2.....idiots!

Not a total slap, Watson and Cook are great players. Kaaya will be with them this season. Didn't look at the other guy

Was more focused on Elijah Hood garnering more votes & Lamar Jackson the same amount as BK.

These media "experts" have IQs hovering around that of mold. They saw Jackson have a great bowl game against a putrid TAMU team that quit 3 months earlier, so now Jackson is everyone's All-American.

Obviously NO ONE can predict how the Coastal (or any sports league) will shake out.

If they could, they'd be billionaires from their winnings in Vegas and Macau.

Now, these media types need to fill digital space with digital ink, and voila! The ad naseum "way to early top 25", "ACC/SEC/whoever rankings", blah blah, blah.

As of today, everyone is 0-0 and we (fans) should have meaningful data by EoOct to make more informed predictions. Right now, monkeys could throw darts at the wall and get the same accuracy as ESPN writers (or on this board...MYSELF included).

Whispers around Raleigh-town is that UNC staff BELIEVE they have an overall better team than last years'. They BELIEVE Trubs is better signal caller, with more pieces in place, than Williams. If he is that good, why didnt he win out last year? Is he really tgis late bloomer? History says no, but stranger things have happened I suppose.

My impression Golden BELIVED he had an awesome team, to compliment his awesome staff and coaching (I say in jest) going into the 2015 season too...we painfully know how that turned out.

Before UNC gets buried or praised in the public square, let's see how they do against UGA in the opener.

Can't really blame them for picking the defending Coastal champs. With that said, lets whoop their *** and remind them that their football program is nothing special.
