FWIW, 5Dimes set the over/under at 66 and it's already climbed to 68 in just 1 hour. No surprise that sharps expect a shootout.

If i bet $100 on the canes to cover the 5.5 spread and they do cover, how much would i win? Sorry I've never bet before, just want to understand how it works.

What's your point? We should be favored to win this game by 28. That was my comment.

I don't comment on game results before the games are played. I'll have an opinion after the game and let you know what I think. For instance, if it's tied in the 4th and we get ahead by 14 then get a couple cheap scores on mistakes in garbage time it'll be a lot different than if we dominate the entire game.

If you bet $100 on Miami to cover the -5.5 spread and they beat Cincinnati by 6 points or more, then you win $100. Worth noting, though, that bettors usually pay 10 percent to the sportsbook, which is essentially a fee for brokering the wager. That means a bettor usually must risk $110 to win $100.

If you were to bet the money line (Miami -220, Cincinnati +180 at 5Dimes), then that means you'd have to risk $220 to win $100 if you were to bet on Miami simply winning the game without taking any point spread into consideration. On the other hand, you'd be risking $100 to win $180 if you were to bet on Cincinnati beating Miami.

Most of you fools must never bet sports. This is what is called a TRAP line. Everybody on EARTH will bet Miami just because they are Miami & the casual bettor doesn't know Golden is an *** hat. Oh & BTW its Miami -6 @ 5dimes right now. The gift of all gifts is Cincy. Al Golden giving 6 on the road thursday night in a HUGE HUGE HUGE look ahead spot with Fsu next week.

except the Alabama a&m game yes I have. You just don't understand sports betting. Ill guarentee Miami does score 40 by half. The public will be heavily on the OVER & Miami. Its either Cincy or No bet.

I am not a betting man but if I were I would bet the house on this one.
