Miami opens +1 @ Louisville

Some books have Miami -6.5.

Never seen a discrepancy like that
I’ve seen the UT-Florida spread (before Saturday) from -9.5 all the way to -20 at different books. I still think there’s close to a 10 point difference but it’s moved lower since Tennessee lost to Arkansas

With the way our Defense has regressed this season, I am very worried about Louisville.

Very frustrating we didn’t address our secondary issues in the offseason and fear it’ll be our downfall down the road.
Right now we are averaging more points per game than UL so they will have to outscore us to have a chance.

I am curious to see how the team comes out. I think a lot of people had Lville circled as a big game preseason as we knew they would likely be ranked.

I think we started the season like a team on a mission. Just go out and manhandle the gates in their house. Then we had multiple cupcakes and I think the team started to feel themselves a bit, read too much into the hype. VT was supposed to be the wake up call, close game but again we were big time favorites walking into the game, same for Cal who lost to FSU. I dont think the team felt threatened until the score changed.

FFS I hope Rivers and Damari come back for Lville. Big boost and we know we will get Lville best, we shouldnt be sleeping on them even though they just lost to SMU. Ashton is going to test our OL and Brooks will test the secondary. Way too many Miami players on Lville so you know they will show out. Lets see how the team comes out because we normally suck after bye weeks but hopefully this one comes at a good time AND no one should be celebrating now. yes happy we are 6-0 but the country is now doubting the team and says without the refs we are 4-2 and lost to the teams with a pulse. Lets see what happens.

Lotta misunderstanding as usual with these types of threads.

None of the big books have a line on this game yet, and if they did, they’re very low limits aka nobody is betting it.

If the game were to be played this Saturday, there is zero chance in **** Miami would be a dog. Line would likely be somewhere near Miami -4. We’re a TD better than them on a neutral via most power ratings.

Let this thread die and we’ll revisit it Sunday when actual books open up a spread you can actually bet.
No idea on limits because I’m not in that world but this game was absolutely available on DraftKings and others last week at Miami -6.5. There were also numerous other Game of the Year types. None of the shops have any future games up at this point. (MGM,DK,FD,espnbet)

#10 Michigan was just a 1.5 underdog at Washington this past weekend, even though they shouldn’t have been ranked that high to begin with.
Wow. Must happen more than I thought. Rankings are *** and to be fair, after say 5 or so teams, there's a big gap. While I don't think we're a historic top 10 team, we may be relative to this year and the parity we are seeing.

Yes, that makes much more sense. I didn't see it on DK today, but I'm not doubting what you saw at all on some lookahead games. But nobody real is hanging Miami +1 right now.

This x1000, everyone was pointing this out BEFORE the season started. There were a lot of serviceable to good options that Miami watched go through the Portal. Hopefully DB recruiting gets better now that Addae is finally gone but that still doesn't excuse the Portal mishaps the past few years.

100% line is not out on any of the big books yet. The +1 line was the preseason line.

That makes sense. We will not be +1 next week, I guarantee that.

Our last 2 games plus literally college football in general every week of every year should have taught all of us to expect the unexpected, but Louisville ain't ****. Had their worst 2 offensive games of the year the last 2 weeks vs Notre Dame and SMU.

Defense is down to 84th in the country in YPP allowed now, too. ND got 31 on em, SMU got 34 on em at 7.63 a play. Didn't turn it over, didn't get sacked.

Cover Jacorey Brooks, and be ourselves on offense. We'll be fine.

This is where I am at....Our defense is who many thought it was. Maybe we can make a few tweaks to cover things up which should help.

But just avoid big deficits and get some stops and our schedule is more than favorable.
