Miami Open drastic impact on parking

IT'S TIME TO EVICT THE MARLINS AND MOVE BACK INTO OUR HOUSE.....

No question that POS team gets sold within the next 5 years.

The real question becomes.....can our football program generate enough revenue, over the next few years, to warrant the university, and city, to negotiate us back home

You’re nuts.

To play in a fūcking 35k baseball stadium with a horrible configuration and retarded sightlines for football?

Did you go the VaTech and ND games or any other home games this year?

Obviously not, or you wouldn’t even consider the possibility.

You want to leave that???

You fūcking people.

We have the dumbest fans .... we have the best stadium in CFB and these marooons want to go play in a baseball stadium

tell city of Miami to go to ****.... let them eat it like the Miami Arena... serves them right..

Let them tear it down after it hosts 3 years of flea markets

You do realize that just like the court in the middle of the stadium the courts in the parking lot are temporary, right?

It's a shame to see it move from Crandon Park, which I always thought was a really cool location (but outdated at this point), to a place with absolutely no character. That being said, 15 football games a year don't pay for a $1b renovation. You have to increase asset utilization somehow and this is as good a way as any. It's the Jerry Jones model to pay for Jerry World.

the link says "Construction on the new tennis facilities will begin in 2018."... what are they building that's not permanent?

I stand corrected. The renderings definitely looked like a temporary setup (if you've ever seen a golf course set up for a PGA event you realize how much infrastructure can be brought in). It makes no sense to me to put a $53m tennis complex in that part of Miami but I've also never had more money than I know what to do with. Apologies to Canestevealum08 and CGCane.

Recent actions by Yanke, err, Marlins Partner Derek Jeter show that a flea market is already in place at Marlins Park...

Be nice if the folded (Braves fan) and the city had to rent it out to UM as a second all sport IPF!

I went to the U in the eighties and early ninties so I have been to plenty of games at the OB during our hey days... and bleed orange and green. I still drive down from Orlando with my boys to Hard Rock for home games. So cut out your BS about the not knowing what the OB is about.

The Marlins stadium will never be the old OB ... no matter how much you want it to be.
The sight lines are horrible for football or soccer... will fit 45K at most if you sit at 45 degrees to the field

We have one of the best stadiums in CFB after the roof was put in at Hard Rock... all the nostalgia will not change reality
