Was our oline perfect in that game? No but it was an encouraging performance against an elite run stopping defense. Credit to mark walton for getting over 120 yards and 2 touchdowns against a defense that was ranked top 5 in the country in run defense. I just love that the oline proved that it can play against a quality opponent and dominate. This performance along with the way we played the last 5 games is a positive for them moving forward. Not to mention the growth for some of them in the spring, addition of Donaldson as well as in the summer having 5 lineman joining the 2 deep (Linder, odogwu, Herbert, gaynor, hillery). Excited to see how they perform this year

If I remember correctly, Walton had a MONSTER game getting us out of a lot of **** 3rd downs and even a 4th down conversion. Walton looked like a man-child on some of those runs. Personally he should receive more credit than the O line but overall was their best performance as a unit altogether.

No, the OLine wasn't perfect that game.

Kaaya, inexplicably, threw one huge buttload of short, quick passes, and some of those receptions got loose for good yardage, like Walton, Richards, Njoku, and Coley.

That loosened up the stack in the middle, and after a time, they didn't know whether to **** or wind their watches. They'd see the same fake to Walton, expecting a pass, but Walton took it and would rip NC State good.

Even the announcer in that game mentioned how UM fans must be confused as they don't see that kind of quick hit passing on a consistent basis.

Or - play calling sukked often - but not in this game.

I was there, once we got our rhythm going, they knew their *** was toast. Got to take my 3 year old grandson, along with son #1 . It was a special day.
