Nasir Richardson reported an offer from Miami football on Tuesday afternoon.

"Blessed to receive an offer from the University of Miami!," Richardson wrote.

Nasir is an upcoming junior, and current sophomore at Malcom X Shabazz High School in Newark, NJ, and he is a member of the 2028 recruiting class. His offer list is absolutely loaded now with offers from Miami, Auburn, Florida, Penn State, among many other schools.

The 6-foot-1, 175-pound cornerback had a productive sophomore season, he racked up a total of 35 tackles, two tackles for loss, and a total of four interceptions. He also played some snaps at the wide receiver position going for 405 yards and seven touchdown passes.

The cornerback is rated as a four-star prospect and currently ranks as the No. 88 overall player in the 2028 class, the No. 7 prospect in the state of New Jersey and the No. 7 cornerback nationally.

UV: Oct 17 (F$U)

Newark (N.J.) Shabazz five-star cornerback Nasir Richardson will visit Miami for the first time when the Hurricanes host Florida State on Oct. 17.

“We’re looking forward to spending time with the staff,” Richardson’s father Dominique said. “We want to hear their vision for Nasir, how he fits into their defense, and how they would develop him as a corner. We’re also looking forward to experiencing the game-day atmosphere and seeing how comfortable Nasir feels there. Miami has our attention, so this is a big opportunity for us to get a feel for the program.”

Richardson has already taken visits this fall to Penn State and Michigan. The family has been looking forward to getting down to Coral Gables and spending more time with head coach Mario Cristobal and his staff.

“The tradition of The U definitely stands out,” Richardson said. “The confidence they play with, the championship history, and the defensive backs who have come through that program. With Nasir being a corner, that catches our attention. We’re excited to see it firsthand and hear how the staff would help him build his own legacy there.”

@Memnon
Is he Wright level or better?

NJ has 5 top 80, 12 top-300 recruits '28.
That's a deep class by Jersey's standards

They should all be Buttgers keepers.

Maybe add name too?

I'd say his upside is Greg Newsome II.
