Miami offers New Jersey sophomore cornerback

Nasir Richardson reported an offer from Miami football on Tuesday afternoon.

"Blessed to receive an offer from the University of Miami!," Richardson wrote.



Nasir is an upcoming junior, and current sophomore at Malcom X Shabazz High School in Newark, NJ, and he is a member of the 2028 recruiting class. His offer list is absolutely loaded now with offers from Miami, Auburn, Florida, Penn State, among many other schools.

The 6-foot-1, 175-pound cornerback had a productive sophomore season, he racked up a total of 35 tackles, two tackles for loss, and a total of four interceptions. He also played some snaps at the wide receiver position going for 405 yards and seven touchdown passes.

The cornerback is rated as a four-star prospect and currently ranks as the No. 88 overall player in the 2028 class, the No. 7 prospect in the state of New Jersey and the No. 7 cornerback nationally.
