The Miami Hurricanes continue to make major moves on the recruiting trail, this time extending an offer to rising 2028 EDGE prospect Isaias Matias out of Palm Beach Central High School.

Matias has quickly become one of the more intriguing young defensive prospects in South Florida thanks to his length, athleticism, and raw upside off the edge. Standing around 6-foot-5 and weighing roughly 210-pounds, the rising junior defender already possesses the frame college programs covet at the position.

The offer from Miami Hurricanes football adds another major program to Matias’ growing recruitment. Schools such as Pittsburgh, South Florida, and Louisville have already shown interest as his stock continues to rise nationally.

What makes Matias stand out early is his explosiveness and ability to move in space for a player his size. Evaluators in South Florida have praised his athletic traits and potential as a future high-level pass rusher. Recent camp and showcase clips have highlighted his speed off the edge and versatility lining up at both linebacker and defensive end.

Miami has made it a priority to lock down elite in-state talent under head coach Mario Cristobal, and offering Matias this early shows how highly the Hurricanes view his long-term potential. With several years of high school football still ahead of him, the Wellington native appears ready to become one of the next big names to emerge from the talent-rich South Florida recruiting scene.

As the 2028 class begins taking shape, Miami is making sure its presence is felt early — and Isaias Matias is now firmly on the Hurricanes’ radar.

I mean the Jenkins commit is big news and it is the feature headline for about 5-10 mins before it loses its spot to an article about an athlete that has a couple yrs yet.

JMO and like I said nitpicking.
