totally agree he's not the guy for Miami to reach it's potential next year. very mature of him (or his agent) to come out and say he wants to be developed and wouldn't mind sitting if needed

Because of the assumed transfer of Brown along with TVD, we need numbers. I wouldn't mind bringing the guy in, but it absolutely could not be with the promise of a starting spot. If we don't get another HS recruit committed, we need two in the portal anyway, a young guy to compete with Emory for the number two spot, and a plug and play starter for the 2024 season. I am guessing that would be too expensive though.

If he is taken from the portal, he needs to be the developmental QB and not the expected starter next season. He would be for Jacurri's spot not TVD's. He isn't ready next season.

Not developing well/soon enough is miles apart from being "over-rated coming out of high school".

I saw some highlights; kid has too much talent to be cast away after a poor freshman campaign.
