I am more intrigued than ever with this portal. You basically have had 90+ % of the big ticket players go in the 1st portal in Jan. You don't have a Spring portal anymore to actually evaluate your young replacement players on your roster and dip into the 2nd portal to address your new, real time evals. Miami wouldn't have been a 10 win team each of the last 2 seasons without the Spring portal. I do like our returning roster as a whole better this off season and we are losing some big talent. The money will be bigger and the competition wider. I do believe this will be the best talent pool available yet, but I also believe less teams will be able to completely transform their team without a Spring portal. I could be wrong, just my opinion on something new. Their are teams intentionally letting a bunch of their roster go with intent to flip big chunks of their roster. Money wise, that is probably cheaper, than retention. Not having a 2nd portal is the real story, here. This is going to be nuts. I seem to have us taking more than others believe. I have us bringing in 12-14 portal players. We did just sign 30 HS.
