man, am i the only one who thinks these all sucked? lol. these are the unis they wore the back half of my undergrad and i always hated them. say what you will about adidas but i was happy to see us go back to a bit more of a classic look with them (after the weird adidas feather-shoulder ones, which also sucked lol)

Nike gave us absolute garbage alternatives for years and people still can't get off the Nike stuff.
Adidas has a lot more innovation with their shoes and apparel. Nike may be bigger, but adidas is better imo. Boost technology, recycled plastics and fishing nets into clothing and shoes, etc.

I think they’ll look better on TV and under the lights in person , especiallly when players are grouped together man yal trippin that sht will be fye watch
I'm betting the intro is going to be dope. I hope they turn down the lights and have the team come out of the tunnel through the smoke with spotlights on them. That neon is going to shine in darkness with light shining it.

Also, come out late making GT wait and watch like a boxing challenger to the heavy weight champion.

I seriously don’t know why people cannot comprehend this.

If we told Nike to make us our classic uniforms, they would do it - just like they do for Alabama, LSU, etc.
Why are some of you so infatuated with Nike? Adidas has way more innovation in what they do. It's like you guys have succumb to the marketing hypnosis of the swoosh.

I don't care about the provider (Adidas, Nike, Under Armor, Acme Uniforms lol). IMO, just keep the old school uni's like they currently have (would be even better if they got away from the Chicago Bear-esque number font, but you take what you can get). Orange, Green, and White are the colors. Sorry, black isn't one of them (and **** sure "smoke" isn't one).

Follow this guideline:
Home Day Game - Orange Jerseys, White Pants
Home Night Game - Green Jerseys, White Pants
Away Day Game - White Jerseys, Orange Pants
Away Night Game - White Jerseys, Green Pants

Okay, if they absolutely "need" to have one alternate, have 1 "Miami Night" game each year, but that's it. We should cherish our traditional look.

Just got my Tickets, with all the excitement around the program and with this being Miami nights and with GT being somewhat a decent team this year I wouldn’t be surprised at 51-53.5K

- Miami will be Top 20
- GT will be 3-2
- Miami Nights
- 8:00 PM game (we seem to show up for the Saturday night conference games )
- exciting offense
- first conference game before UNC

* Question for parking, what’s the difference between yellow lot/Orange lot parking when it comes to the cheap yellow lot passes to the more expensive yellow lot parking passes (same with orange)?
All lots open 5hrs before kickoff .
Go with Orange

Yellow is across the street from the stadium and is like a 20 minute Hike to stadium...and it's hot as ****.

Uhhh, not sure if u heard but Adidas created these. This had nothing to do w/ us or the kids. Adidas created glow in the dark unis for us, Georgia Tech, & a Miami Vice for FIU. We rejected these last yr, but we’re still under contract & obligated to Adidas. Therefore, if we were going to rock a Miami Night’s jersey, it would have to be their latest version.
The reason we're wearing them in my opinion is cuz of the kids! Whether we created them or not.

Orange Lots are "interior" and Yellow Lots are "exterior".

Yellow lots will require you to take a pedestrian bridge over one of the primary access roads to get to the "interior" section. That, and the Yellow lots have the farthest distance to walk.

The Orange lots might still involve some road crossings, but without having to take a bridge. There is an underpass near the SE corner of the stadium that everyone has to take if you are going through that area, between the tennis courts and the stadium.

If there are two different prices on Orange, I've never heard that. For Yellow, I could understand if they have a price cut for the lots on the south side of 199th. The one thing that I have used in past years is that if you have the highest level SunPass (the one that can be used with Miami International Airport parking), you can get into the Yellow lot east of the stadium for $5 less and without having to actually pay the cash, you just get scanned in. Not sure if they have changed that post-Formula-One revisions. I used to do that if I was arriving at the game too late to tailgate, I'd sell my Green and park in Yellow.

Remember when we busted out the special all green unis for GT in I think 04-05? We laid an enormous **** coming off a huge win at “ I think “ VT putting us back in the natty conversation. One of the weirder games I’ve seen.
Yep the all green with the solid orange shoulder. 2005 season. Craziest thing bout that game was it was a makeup. The hurricane earlier in the year postponed that game by like two months, GT STUNK at beginning of year.

Oh and I am a big nike guy myself but for some reason they had us in many clown attire thru the years, almost all their stuff in regards to UM on the field was trash, bra straps and all..
The clamshell was definitely weird. Personally not a fan of any of our alternates from Nike or Adidas, but I'm sure Nike could at least get the U on the collar to appear straight.

I'm more concerned about fan apparel, and Nike ***** on adidas in both selection and quality. I've bought two Adidas shirts and won't be buying more, but I still have Nike stuff from 10+ years ago that's going strong.

In any case let's hope we don't get stuck with Fanatics lol.
True. Nike did give us some pretty bad gear throughout the years. But, I'm pretty sure most of those uni patterns, outside of the year with the Smoke uni, weren't just templated for Miami. I really want Nike back for the apparel though. The Adidas gear designs don't do anything for me personally and the sizing/cut of their apparel always seems off to me for whatever reason and never fits me well. For example, I have two shirts currently that are the same size, XXL. One is god awful big on me and the other fits athletically like I prefer. I had to get the XXL because the XL sizes of those same shirts are **** near skin tight compression shirt. Its been like that since the switch to Adidas.

I'm a huge hockey guy. When I heard the NHL was going with Fanatics for their uniforms and team gear I was so let down. Their stuff for the most part that I have seen is not good.

I'm going to ask a simple question, so don't be offended.

How old are you?

Because here's the thing, I can understand if some of the younger posters don't understand this issue.

Miami was, quite simply, THE FIRST all-apparel/all-equipment contract that Nike ever did. Not Oregon. MIAMI.

So this meant quite a lot to UM when we negotiated this deal in the late-80s/early-90s. When I first enrolled in 1986, we STILL had leftover 1983 National Championship merch in the UM Bookstore. And if I still had one of those sweatshirts, in that disgusting shade of NOT UM green, you would be shocked.

And don't get me wrong, I liked the Russell jerseys too. But when we were THE FIRST Nike school, it was an indication that we had truly arrived. That a small private school that everyone hated was good enough for Nike.

I realize a lot of people can't understand that feeling, it only comes around once. But I would ask you, sir, to stop with the "succumb to the marketing hypnosis of the swoosh" nonsense. Nike was our first true "business partner", and I believe that should mean something. Not "Beta Blake trying to make his legacy on SEEMINGLY more money with adidas".

And to quote the great Alonzo Highsmith..."Miami is a Nike school. Miami is not an adidas school. Miami is a Nike school."

He's right.

The fan selection for Adidas is pure ***. I’ve gone to fantastics multiple times to see if anything has changed to buy something and I just can’t do it. There’s absolutely nothing that looks a bit appealing to buy.

Same, Go Avs!

A lot of people don't know this but Fanatics has been making NHL jerseys for Adidas for a few years now, as well as Nike jerseys for MLB (they acquired Majestic a few years back) and some Nike jerseys under license for the NFL.

Point being Fanatics is perfectly capable of making quality apparel, but their own branded stuff available to fans is straight trash, and Adidas suffers from the same problem IMO.

This is what you get for a $130 Adidas jersey. It's not even true twill, most everything is heat-pressed on. And yeah, it's the Parlay Ocean Plastic crap, so it's literally trash and it feels cheap.

Now I haven't bought a Nike jersey since we parted ways with them, so if this is what they're offering now too that's unfortunate bc my $85 Jacory Harris era jersey ***** on the Adidas I duped myself into buying last year.

My biggest gripe is the lack of selection Adidas offers to fans. I can't even find half the **** I see the players and coaches wearing on the sidelines. If I pick a random Nike school on Fanatics, FansEdge etc., there's a plethora of shirts, hats, hoodies or whatever you might be looking for. And for my money, the fit and quality with Nike is better than Adidas but your mileage may vary.

The players will be wearing top of the line attire regardless of who we are with, and I trust Rad to work out a deal that benefits the school and its athletes. But if we were a Nike school I'd probably own more Canes attire bc I'm done buying Adidas. And I'm not loyal to any brand, I'm wearing Adidas shoes as I type this.
