I will die on the hill the 12-13 squad could’ve won the whole thing if Larkin was 100% against Marquette. That team was so well constructed.
I don’t know that we could have won the whole thing. We were so undersized. But I do think we could have made it to the final four.

I’m so superstitious and blamed myself because I ended up in the ER that night and kept trying to watch the game on my phone, but of course I had to go out for tests and missed a bunch of it. Was certain we lost because of me. 🤣

Kadji, Reggie (maybe hurt during that game? I’ve tried to scrub it), and Gamble gave us plenty of interior size, and Scott, McKinney-Jones, and Brown were more than enough on the perimeter imo. I don’t think there was a 2024 UConn type matchup that would eventually kill us with size, but oh well. I loved that team so much lol

That game was during my senior spring break and I didn’t watch from my normal spot. I blamed myself too lol

Yeah, I just looked back and the championship was between Louisville and Michigan, so you might be right about us being okay. I’m old so the years start running together.

And I do remember Reggie being injured a lot too, but don’t remember exactly when. Also loved that team so much!
