Miami is officially in the mix for one of the top defensive backs in the country after four-star cornerback Kamil Loud named the Hurricanes among his finalists. The Bishop Gorman standout out of Las Vegas continues to see his recruitment blow up nationally, and Miami has put itself right in the middle of the battle for one of the top players in the 2027 class.
According to 247Sports, Loud is currently ranked as the No. 40 cornerback in the country and the No. 3 overall prospect in Nevada for the Class of 2027, at 6-foot-1 and 170 pounds.
Miami made Loud’s final six alongside Washington, Auburn, California, Florida State, and Utah. The Hurricanes have been pushing hard for Loud over the past several months, and the relationship with the coaching staff has clearly helped keep Miami near the top of his list.
Loud has built a reputation as a tough, versatile corner who can match up with big receivers and make plays all over the field. Playing at Bishop Gorman, one of the top high school football programs in the country, has only raised his profile further against elite competition week after week.
