Miami Must Be Dialed In When USF Comes to Hard Rock

App st is a team that has upset bigger teams in the past USF is a better version . Having said that I feel confident with Beck he is dialed in .

A g5 team has never won 3 consecutive regular season games against ranked teams. UCF was the only G5 to win against 3 ranked teams in consecutive games in 2017. (USF, Memphis(CG), Auburn (Bowl)).

If anyone can do it, a school from Florida can, BUT I doubt this is the one against two top-ranked Florida schools on the road.

Last year 50-15 in Tampa. I'm sorry but I don't see the upgrades on their team to change things all that much. We may not put up 50 but I don't see them scoring more than our 28-35.

They beat Boise, who lost their entire offense with Jeanty going to the NFL, and they beat a Gaytor team that was only ranked because 1. SEC, and 2. The media sucked off Lagway for some unknown reason. USF is not that good if you have actually watched them
They are absolutely good enough to beat us if we have an off day. I think if we protect Beck we're golden, but you're kidding yourself if you think it's in the bag just because.

Until this season, South Florida had lost its last 18 games against ranked opponents, with the last win coming on October 28, 2016, against No. 22 Navy.

The Bulls’ last-ranked win over a Power Five team was all the way back in the 2011 season opener, when they stunned No. 16 Notre Dame in South Bend.

This year, however, Alex Golesh’s squad has flipped the script. USF snapped both streaks in fashion, recording a season-opening win over No. 25 Boise State before shocking No. 13 Florida in Gainesville. Those victories have given the program a big ball of energy and national attention heading into Miami week.

Alex Golesh even said after the win over Florida, “This ain’t the same old South Florida, my brother.”

USF is averaging about 26 points a game while only giving up around 11 on defense, which is a big reason they beat Florida and Boise State. Quarterback Byrum Brown is throwing for over 500 yards in two games with 2 touchdowns and no picks, while also making plays with his legs. Receiver Keshaun Singleton has already gone for 168 yards and 2 touchdowns, including a long 66-yarder.

Miami, meanwhile, owns the all-time series at 6–1, including four straight wins. The only loss came in 2010, when USF won 23–20 in overtime, a loss that many point to as the final straw for Randy Shannon’s tenure as head coach.

Miami just has to be dialed in for this game. This is one of the games you cannot drop, especially having Florida in two weeks. Miami fans will have Hard Rock once again rocking, so that will play in Miami's favor as one of the nation's hottest teams comes into Miami Gardens to play.

Of their 27 transfers, they have added a high number of players with three years or more of college football experience. The majority of the team itself are new arrivals between their high school and portal signees. It is a different team in composition than what we faced last year.

Miami took USF seriously before Saturday. After that big W, I would be utterly shocked the boys are not psyched for this game.

This will not be a serious contest. UF is awful and lost that game more than USF won. They might get a few licks in in the first half, and in the 2nd we'll distance.

They will play us tough, so long as the players are motivated, I expect a 13-17 point win easily.

BCU running QB gave us slight issues.. USF QB is much better. Hoping that game gave us some great game tape for our D to work on. Stop dude and we should have an easy day imo.

Still, this school who cosplay as a South Florida school lol.. has been real ****y and will treat this like the national championship. So we need to make a statement and put them back in there place down there with FAU, FIU

If Miami isn’t prepared and focused on USF after Saturday we have much bigger issues than we expected.
Watching the team come out of the tunnel before the game last Saturday, I don't see any way they aren't completely locked in. They have a swag about them. They're good and they know it.

What have we seen from Mario, and more specifically our Canes in the last 20 years to make some of you fools so ****y and over confident? That USF team is for real. Mario better have our dudes ready to play and not be conservative with his game plan. I expect a dog fight.
We smashed the 50-15 last year. Yeah the first half they put up a fight but this is in our house now and we're better in a lot of areas than we were last year. Our trenches is where we will win this game.

He had 14 carries for 27 yards last year. 🤷‍♂️

Said it in the other thread, but I'm actually more confident about this game after what they did vs UiF than I would have been if they'd have lost by 14.

There's no overlooking this team now, and we're at home. It won't be hard to motivate this week. And we had our high school scrimmage last week so it's 2 weeks since we got up to play ND....I think USF will have their full attention, and Beck looks like he's willing to take way less chances than Cam, which can be a good thing. Just stay ahead of the chains, take what's there, move the ball down the field. The only way they win this game is if we turn the ball over multiple times, and I'd be pretty surprised to see that from Beck.
