Who even cares. Best ND and we're #1. CFP is all that matters anyhow.
If we're 3, ND 2 & Georgia is 1, I doubt we would jump UGA with a win at ND. Regardless of who the best team is. They gotta protect the SEC.

That ACCCG is going to be a f***ing dogfight. Don't kid yourselves. That team has a chip on its shoulders. And if I recall, they did play a little chippy and dirty, so assuming we get that far and take care of business going into that game, protecting Mensah and #1 will be our top priority against Bounty Hunters.

We'll need that bye week to rest up and recover from a busy November. The Injury Bug has been merciless to us this year.

Nice that we’re sitting at 3 but polls in October are eye candy. Championships are won and lost in the trenches. Rankings are nice but I don’t see our OL as a top 3 unit. CFP games aren't won on the perimeter and we have an interior OL problem. If we don't fix the OL before January those chickens are going to come home to roost.

It was a 3 point loss to the #3 team and the game included a final 3 minute CLEAR PI no call that would have put bama well within fg position. It was not a bad loss, by any means.
In the history of ap polls, we previously had never considered bad calls by the refs.

I mean we literally would though. A win over #2 in the nation on the road would be the best win yet, no?

Sorry - I missed this easy question.

TT- UTAH and UCLA

UCLA maybe. I like them but obviously the pollsters are not impressed yet.
Utah I would not agree with at all.

Bama doesn't drop even 1 spot even though they lost? In what world?
They didn’t jump us like I thought the voters might do but they didn’t drop either.

Head coach Mario Cristobal's Miami Hurricanes Football team has moved up to No. 3 in this week's AP Poll.

The Hurricanes are coming off a bye week after defeating the Clemson Tigers 41-13. Miami headlines the ACC, followed by Wake Forest at No. 21 and SMU at 24.

The Texas Longhorns fell out of the top-five after losing to rival the Oklahoma Sooners, moving Miami up to No. 3 in the country.

Who cares. Just keep winning these games in which you are favored.

Texas Tech? I do not see it with them.

BYU maybe if they win this Saturday.
I don't think they look great either, but they have a ranked win (Houston) & are undefeated. At what point should this stuff count?

I say it should be a mix of accomplishment and talent on the roster and potential.
I know everyone sees it differently but to me if I cannot imagine a team winning against another team head-to-head then I cannot place them above that team.

I think Bama is better than Tech Tech.

Yeah, that's basically what it is now and what theoretically makes the most sense. The problem is when the voters are as biased towards certain teams and conferences as what we see now, fairness is practically impossible. A huge problem with so much money on the line. Maybe implementing some guidelines into the current system that force voters to penalize teams fairly for losses and take head-to-head records and the like into account in a way that can't be overridden by bias would be best.

If miami vs nd is a top3 matchup whoever wins is definitely going to #1 lol the helll are yall talking about

They were at home. That alone should have dropped them 3 or 4 spots.

It's like you guys have forgotten the last two decades.

We have three ACC games between now and ND. Let's win those first, then speculate about how important the ND game is.

I've seen us drop too many games we should have won, even under Cristobal, to look that far forward.
Could we please stop talking about ND? Rat poison.

Bama doesnt drop a single spot after an L. Is that a first?

Why is LSU still ranked? Their big wins are Clemson and Texas A&M......

Tennessee struggles against Arkansas....no drop at all. No good wins and have looked bad all year.

SEC gonna SEC.
Exactly. I keep saying rankings should not start until week 6. All the preseason and early rankings are just to keep the bs sec narrative going
