Miami moves up to No. 14 in this weeks AP Poll

This setting up for two outcomes… I’m being pessimistic right now I know 😭

1) We beat Va Tech and lose on a sloppy game at Pitt the final weekend.

2) We win out and miss the playoffs a second year in a row by one spot

Both = 💔

But I’m not convinced we (or any ACC team) can jump anyone from the SEC or Big 10 in the CFP poll. It’s too political and the machine is too powerful.

If, we win out in dominate fashion, we should make the playoffs. The help we would need, is for at least three teams, ranked 8-13 (OK, ND, AL, BYU, VANDY, UT) to lose a third game. They all have two remaining games, with the exception of AL. Quite possible, with the exception of ND. Even if, BYU, VANDY, and UT win out, but struggle, we should jump them in the polls. Outside help could come from, either of TT, or OR, losing a second game, if they lose big.

I’d like to know from a sportswriter or from committee as to what the **** has Utah done this year to be ranked anywhere near Miami?

BYU Utah ASU TCU Baylor are solid programs

As for recruting
Besides clemson
Who else in acc is too 15
Recruiting?

The ACC plays UF, UGA, South Carolina and Notre Dame every year and Clemson, FSU and Miami schedule big rotating national brand games, not the same.

The Big 12 has less talent in it, has limited contact with the top end of the sport and wants to play booty state then demand equal respect.
 
Vandy will lose 1 more. At Tennessee in two weeks. The rest of the SEC will sort itself out.

BYU or Utah will lose to Texas Tech in the BIG 12 championship game.

We need to go 1-0 this week. Forget everything else.
